EquiCrown Canada

EquiCrown Canada EquiCrown®Compression bandages are used for: Riding. Rest. Rehab. EquiCrown® are gradient compression bandages which fit the leg like a second skin.

The construction pushes unwanted lymphatic fluid up the leg for excretion, and return oxygen rich blood right to the hoof. EquiCrown® are open weave, breathable and do not trap heat. The FIT version is suited to stalling or various types of injury, post-surgical or wound recovery. The ACTIVE version can be used for rest, riding or rehab of connective tissues like tendons, suspensory. The silver FI

TS are an excellent tool for bringing "mud fever" under control and reducing the associated swelling, and for controlling the post-lymphangitis leg to prevent re-occurrence. Measure is important to achieve a therapeutic fit to the leg. Unless injured, measure after exercise. Measure the circumference of the cannon and fetlock. Pull the tape as tight as possible (create an indent in the leg.) EquiCrown® products are sold in sets or singles so that each leg is accommodated with the correct size. EquiCrown® compression bandages are machine wash and dry at warm (40C/100F). How will Equicrown Compression bandages help my horse?
Compression therapy applies pressure stimulating the veins to transport blood back to the heart more efficiently. The improvement in blood flow can prevent complications (fluid accumulation at the fetlock) related to poor circulation. Equicrown make the legs feel less fatigued after periods intense activity.

Equicrown are GRADUATED compression and continually massage the leg to increase circulation and excrete fluid from stocked up legs. Standing wraps are STATIC compression and ‘cast’ the leg, restricting circulation and excretion. CIRCULAR compression is sock-like with compression over the largest part of the leg (ie the fetlock) and little or no compression above or below this point. Understanding how each method of compression works is important to maintaining good leg health.
