Yes or no… privacy matters during dental cleanings?

If you prefer more privacy during your hygiene appointments, we can simply slide the door closed for you.

The rooms in a hygiene or dental offices are called operatories, an operatory or an “op”.

There are several design options for a dental space — we selected a “closed operatory” system. With the sliding door and high ceilings to give the space an “open operatory” feel.

If you’re wondering ⬇️

Open operatory means cabinets, shelves or half walls are used as dividers. There is typically no door. This creates an open and more casual feel while still giving enough privacy.

Closed operatories are defined by having 4 walls and door. Giving the option for full privacy but if not done right, can feel closed in.

Both can be great systems if they are done right.

We put a lot of love and thought into the way our rooms (or operatories) are designed. We hope you love them as much as we do!
