Ankle sprains happen. Incomplete rehab shouldn’t. 🛑

If you’re trying to return to sport, don’t just strengthen the ankle in “safe” positions.

You need to challenge control in the positions where sprains often happen, including that rolled-out position.

These drills are a great way to build stability and confidence.

Meet Mohamed 👋

We’re excited to welcome Mohamed to Strong Body Physiotherapy for his 12-week kinesiology placement with us.

Mohamed is a Kinesiology student at the University of Alberta with a strong interest in movement, exercise, nutrition, and long-term health. One of his favourite classes so far has been nutrition because he enjoys learning how diet can impact health, performance, and overall well-being.

In the future, Mohamed hopes to attend medical school and become a cardiologist, helping people improve their heart health and quality of life.

Outside of school, you’ll probably find him in the gym doing barbell bicep curls, playing basketball, getting into golf, or watching The Sopranos for its storytelling and humour.
His favourite wall quote at the clinic is:

“Recovery is not a race. It’s a journey. Take your time.”

For Mohamed, this quote is a reminder that recovery should not be rushed. It’s about giving your body the time, care, and support it needs to heal properly.

During his time with us, Mohamed is looking forward to helping build personalized exercise programs and supporting our team in delivering thoughtful, patient-centred care.

And his clinic fuel of choice? Coffee or pumpkin seeds ☕️

LIMITLESS JOURNEY HIGHLIGHT – April 🏆

This month, we’re celebrating Victoria S.

Victoria has absolutely crushed her rehab plan. She’s someone who truly trusted the process and stayed committed through every phase of her recovery.

Even with a busy work schedule, she found ways to keep progressing. Whether it was taking small breaks during the day to stay consistent with her exercises or finding creative ways to move, she made it happen.

She believed that motion is lotion, and lived it.

She even found a way to incorporate one of her favourite activities, dancing, into her rehab… turning it into her warm-up 👏

When we asked her what she would tell someone just starting their journey, she said:

“If you’re in pain, come here, and you’ll feel better.”

And her results speak for themselves.

Progress isn’t given, it’s built.

And Victoria’s journey is a reminder that consistency, creativity, and commitment can take you further than you think.
