Stephanie here, to inform you all on the passing of my mother Jamie Christensen.
my mom was surrounded by family and friends all day yesterday in a sacred ceremony setting in salmon arm general hospital . We cried, laughed , prayed and listened to all of mom’s favourite songs throughout the day.
She died peacefully at 17:17 on February 1st.
As you all know, my mom gave it her all in her business and built such strong relationships with you all over the years…this was her passion and she truly put so much love into it.
May her legacy live on and each peice of her jewelry carry the essence of unconditional love.
P.s.

The walk will continue….

More will be revealed on the continuum for “our walk with Buddha”once we’ve taken time to process and grieve.

An update on our sweet momma 💗🙏🏼🪽
T hank you to Stephanie (Jamie’s daughter in law), Leon (son) and sweet Damien (grandson) for coming from Alberta to spend this past weekend with Mom.
Mom’s best friend (Debbie C) from Nelson B.C.stayed with her through the night on Monday evening.
Dana (Jamie’s sister ) IStephanie (Jamie’s daughter), Madison (granddaughter) stayed bedside in the hospital last night.
Chris and the Doggos are definitly feeling the emptiness in the house not having Jamie around these last couple of months.
And, we all had strong hope that she would have recovered from the stroke and give it a good fight with the cancer . But, unfortunately that is not the reality of things.
The decline within these past couple of weeks has been dreadful and so challenging for her.

Our dear mother is now entering her final phase of this precious life, reaching up to the light.
It is time that Jamie is being called home to her ancestors from the unseen world.
She is so very loved and this coming to terms and letting go process has been so hard for all of us. But, we very much feel so much support and guidance from her loved ones waiting for her.
We are so very grateful for all the medical staff at Shuswap General Hospital for all their care and compassion that they have held for all of our family since we’ve been here.
We thank you all for your heartfelt prayers, and continued donations as we prepare for these final stages and funeral home arrangements.

On A Spiritual Journey with the help of Malas

In 2017, after turning 60 and retiring, I decided to honour these milestones in a special way. I did so by travelling to India for my Yoga teacher training certification. It didn't take very long to fall in love with India's beauty, her people, and her culture. While on this spiritual path, I found malas had become an important part of my journey. Whether I was using the mala for counting the beads during chanting or wearing them simply for their beauty, their energy affected me in a most profoundly positive way. I was drawn to certain gems and began doing research on their healing powers and properties. I wanted my friends and family back home to have the same experience as me. I scouted out my favourite Rishikesh supplier, Lucky, and placed a small order for mala bracelets. In less than 3 days after my return, I was out of malas and needed to order more. Anyone who has ever worn a mala necklace or bracelet regardless of the crystal, cannot ignore their power and potential to bring positive change to one's physical, mental and spiritual well-being. That's when I decided to make a go of this idea of mine. With Our Walk With Buddha, I present an online environment filled with passion and compassion. Not only do I sell excellent-quality products at affordable prices—I also offer personal customer service. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with those of you who want to know more about these magical malas and gemstones. I invite you to join me on this journey of enlightenment and personal growth.

Whether you are trying to attract love, abundance, good health, or good luck into your life, you may wish to add a mala necklace or bracelet to help in the manifestation of such desires. Or simply wear one for the sheer beauty of the gem itself. Authenticity is guaranteed with every piece Our Walk With Buddha sells. Every piece is handmade in Rishikesh, India by my friend, Lucky, and the village women he employs. Fair Trade and Ethically sourced. Always! Namaste.
