Simcoe Heritage Retirement Living is looking for a compassionate and community-minded hairdresser to visit our licensed salon every once every week from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

We’re offering a rent-free chair in our on-site salon, with an existing service price list in place to cover product costs. This isn’t a money-making opportunity—it’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by helping them look and feel their best.

🇨🇦 Canada Day at Golden Pond was a celebration to remember! 🇨🇦
Huge thanks to Brian and Lori for the delicious BBQ and to our amazing staff for dressing up our home and themselves in true festive style🎉

And just when we thought the fun was over, we grabbed our fishing rods and enjoyed a relaxing fishing trip right in our backyard at the pond. 🎣

🎉🌵 Fiesta Fun at Golden Pond! 🌵🎉

We threw a Mexican Fiesta last Friday and let’s just say… the salsa wasn’t the only thing with a little kick! 💃🕺 Huge shoutout to our incredible staff who brought the fun, flavor, and fiesta spirit — you all guac! 🥑

We were also thrilled to welcome So Mexican Eatery to Waterford with a sweet surprise! Delicious churros that were an absolute hit! Thank you for your generous donation and warm welcome to our community.

🐾 It’s not every day you get a chinchilla hat! 😄

We had the absolute joy of welcoming Little Tracks Petting Zoo to Golden Pond last week, and it was a day full of furry fun and laughter!

Our residents got up close and personal with some adorable animals — a fluffy chinchilla that decided shoulders (and heads!) were the best seats in the house, cuddly baby bunnies that melted hearts, and a duck who thought it was the life of the party. (We didn’t tell it otherwise — we let it quack on with its jokes. 😉)

So many smiles, warm moments, and a few surprise snuggles. 🐰🦆💛 🐾

🐇 🐹 🐓 What a paws-itively wonderful day we had with Little Tracks Petting Zoo! Their adorable pocket pets brought big joy to our hearts.

We snuggled soft baby bunnies, fed fluffy Silkie chickens, and got cozy with some truly cuddly critters. (Yes, the chinchilla-on-the-head moment was real and hilarious!)

Thank you to Little Tracks for the unforgettable visit. Our residents at Simcoe Heritage had a blast, and the animals were the perfect guests. Check out the smiles in the photos — pure happiness, fur-real! 🐇 🐹 🐓

We’re kicking off nurses week with so much gratitude and celebration and what better way to start than by shining the spotlight on our amazing nurse Sarah! 🩵
Today we celebrate not only her dedication, compassion, and incredible care she gives to all of our residents every single day, but also her birthday. Sarah brings warmth, laughter and love into our home and we’re so lucky to have a part of our family 🥰
Please join us in wishing Sarah a very happy birthday and thanking her for the difference she makes in so many lives 🩺 . Here’s to you, Sarah and to all the wonderful nurses out there past and present.
