Meet the Team – Reintroducing Chantelle!

We’re so excited to reintroduce Chantelle, one of our amazing Speech-Language Pathologists at Speech Hens! 💬💛

Chantelle works with both preschool-aged children and adults, bringing a unique range of experience across the lifespan.

❤️From supporting little ones as they build their speech and language skills, to helping adults with communication and swallowing needs in the hospital setting, she is passionate about helping every client feel confident, supported, and heard.

Families love Chantelle for her calm, caring approach and her ability to make therapy both meaningful and engaging. Whether she’s playing on the floor with preschoolers or supporting adults through swallowing and communication challenges, she brings compassion and dedication to every session.

We’re so lucky to have her as part of the Speech Hens team! 🐥

At Speech Hens, many of us are mothers ourselves- and all of us have been shaped by strong women who taught us compassion, patience, resilience, and the importance of feeling heard.

If you're looking to give your child some support with reading and writing this summer, now is the time to reach out! Our individualized 1:1 structured literacy sessions are designed to help build confidence and strengthen reading skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Whether your child needs help with early reading skills, decoding, spelling, reading fluency, comprehension, we are here to help! ☀️

📗 Recieve an individualized plan tailored to your child's needs
📕 Begin summer therapy by choosing your preferred day and time

Will forever love this memory ❤️🩵

Two years ago we took a big leap out of our comfort zones to present to a panel of professionals.

Yes, we basically talk for a living.... but presenting is not something we have ever been comfortable doing.

We practiced every day for weeks. We questioned our every word. We rehearsed our every word. Until one day it hit us... lets just speak from our hearts and our client's hearts, show them who we really are and the rest will follow.

We poured our hearts to them (even shed some tears while presenting too)... because we were representing our clients. The 100s of clients we work with every year... this was for all of you!

The panel felt our emotions and some even had relatable experiences. We are forever grateful to them for listening to us and letting us shed light on what we love to do for a living. 🩵❤️

Did you know thay every purchase at McDonald's on this day helps support families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton?

We've seen the impact this truly has on families. Some of the families we work with have relied on the Roanld McDonald House during challenging times. The comfort, care, and sense of community there really makes a lasting difference.

Whether its a coffee, a Happy Meal, order of fries- every order counts!

I never thought that when we started our business less than 4 years ago, we would build a team we consider our family.

We are happy this is our home away from home, and this is the family we get to spend our days with.
