💗 Pink Shirt Day – February 25, 2026 💗

Did you know Pink Shirt Day began right here in Canada? In 2007, two Nova Scotia high school students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, organized a simple but powerful act of kindness after a younger student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They encouraged classmates to wear pink in solidarity and overnight, a movement was born. What started as a small act of standing up for one person has grown into an international day promoting kindness, inclusion, and respect.

At its heart, Pink Shirt Day is about more than just wearing pink, it’s about challenging bullying, reducing stigma, and creating spaces where people feel safe to be themselves. For those navigating mental health and addiction challenges, compassion and understanding can make a life-changing difference.

Today, we stand together to remind our community that words matter, support matters, and no one should have to face struggles alone. A small act of kindness can spark real change. 🩷
