If your fasting then you know in the next 3 to 5 hours were breaking our fasts and looking for Break Fast. But what is best to eat when you do break your fast? Well high Protein to replenish and support your muscles and high fiber foods to support your gut health. Of course with help from Yerba Mate Yea, I am able to hit my fasting goals with ease. I fast in a 16:8 hour window. This means for 16 hours I'll fast, and in 8 hours I'll eat. You are still to be cautious of what your eating, but fasting sure does help. I'm down over 40lbs of fat, and now up 10lbs of lean muscle 💪 😎

Benefits of Intermittent Fasting:
Weight Loss: IF can lead to weight loss by promoting calorie restriction and potentially boosting metabolism.
Improved Blood Sugar Control: IF may improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar spikes, potentially benefiting individuals with diabetes or prediabetes.
Increased Autophagy: Fasting can trigger a process called autophagy, where the body cleans out damaged cells, potentially contributing to longevity and disease prevention.
Gut Health: IF may promote gut cleansing and improve overall gut health.
Lower Inflammation: Intermittent fasting has been linked to reduced inflammation in the body.

Types of Fasting Windows:
16/8 Method:
This involves fasting for 16 hours and eating during an 8-hour period. Many people find this method easier to implement by extending their overnight fast and eating their first meal later in the day.
14/10 Method:
This method involves fasting for 14 hours and eating during a 10-hour window.
Other Time-Restricted Eating Methods:
Other variations exist, such as 18/6 or 20/4, which further restrict the eating window.
Alternate-Day Fasting:
This method involves eating normally one day and then fasting or consuming a small meal on the following day.
5:2 Diet:
This approach involves consuming a normal diet for five days a week and restricting calorie intake to 500-600 calories on two non-consecutive days.

I’m excited to share that I’ve joined as an Advisor.
For the past decade, my lab has shown that insulin resistance silently impairs the brain circuits behind focus, mood, and memory. We experience that as brain fog, anxiety, depression, and ADHD‑like struggles.Metabolic psychiatry goes beyond masking symptoms to treat the root cause. MetPsy brings this science to life in three phases:
Today: Personalized coaching, education, and community for brain fog, anxiety, low mood, and poor focus. Guided by your continuous wearable data for real-time change and advised by Dr. Georgia Ede ().
Tomorrow: The first randomized controlled trial testing metabolic psychiatry for ADHD/depression, in collaboration with leading tech partners at University of Oxford.
This Year: Phase 1 of a nationwide rollout of insurance‑covered metabolic psychiatry care.
I look forward to refining protocols, translating research into real‑world impact, and advancing true root‑cause mental health care to become the new standard. If you’re curious how metabolic psychiatry can transform life, across home, work, and family life, is the answer.
