This weekend our 10U team, (sponsored by Achieve Movement Health Clinic), travelled to Essex to compete in the Essex FunFest Tournament and they came home as Champs!

Starting out on Friday, the team faced the Windsor Hawks. They got out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning and then never looked back, taking the game by a score of 12-1.

The 10Us kept the bats hot all day Saturday as they defeated the DKMB River Cats by a score of 11-6 before moving onto the Tecumseh Rangers Selects, winning that game 16-1.

On Sunday, the team kept up the momentum.

Starting with the hometown Essex Yellow Jackets in the Semis, the team got on the board in the bottom of the first, bringing in four runs, and continued to add to the score throughout the game, winning 10-3.

In the Finals, the team faced the Kingsville Knights. Our Giants brought their strong defensive game along with hot bats, as they only allowed one run in, ending the game after six innings with a score of 12-1.

Congrats on your undefeated weekend, Giants!
