Are you very stressed that youโ€™re having on and off headaches and pain on your temporomandibular joint (TMJ)? Thereโ€™s usually pain the moment you open your mouth, pain while eating, pain at night and even pain at rest. You grind your teeth while sleeping and wake up with a very stiff jaw. You might have a condition called TMJ dysfunction.

Our physiotherapists can help you by using manual therapy to promote pain-free and proper joint movement, dry needling to relax jaw muscles and exercises to address muscle imbalances. They will also recommend the best sleeping positions, chewing patterns and temporary diet modifications to reduce stress on the jaw and facilitate healing.
