Ahh, the age old question ... π§
"Why does it take so long to fill one simple prescription" π
"15 Minutes? Just slap a label on the box!" βοΈ
"It's not that hard to put some pills in a bottle!" π
π Well! We have some answers for you! π
Your pharmacy team is not just "slapping a label" on stuff! We are checking to make sure your medications are going to be safe and effective for you, and that they won't cause you harm! β£οΈ If there is an issue with the prescription - sometimes we need to contact the prescriber before we can proceedβ οΈ We then often run into issues with insurance, which can also take time to resolve! π¬ And well, of course, we have hundreds of patients that we do all of these things for every day -- so yes, your prescription might take 15 minutes or more! π€·ββοΈ (And hey - sometimes when the stars align - we have it ready in FIVE - you win some, you lose some!π―)
Regardless - we assure you, our team is always working hard to get your medications ready in a timely manner - but we take pride in being thorough and giving you the best possible care! (Good things come to those who wait?π)
