Many people experience Vitamin D deficiency, especially during the winter months in Canada.

Common signs may include:
• Persistent fatigue
• Low mood or seasonal depression
• Brain fog
• Muscle or bone discomfort
• Frequent illness
• Low motivation

Vitamin D plays a critical role in mood regulation, immune health, bone strength, and nervous system function. When levels are low, these systems can struggle to operate at their best.

In Canada, Vitamin D testing is not routinely included in standard blood work. It usually requires a specific request and an out-of-pocket fee, despite deficiency being common due to limited sun exposure for much of the year.

Many symptoms people normalize—especially in winter—may be linked to low Vitamin D. When addressed properly, overall health symptoms may lessen and resilience can improve.
