There’s a common belief that PTSD is a permanent disorder — something fundamentally “wrong.”

In reality, trauma is a wound.

The nervous system adapts to overwhelming experiences in order to survive. With the right support, those patterns can shift.

Approaches like EMDR and Neurofeedback help the brain reprocess trauma and restore regulation.

Healing is possible.
PTSD is not a life sentence.

If this resonates with you, know that support exists.

Our brains learn patterns — especially in response to stress and trauma.

Neurofeedback is a gentle, non-invasive approach that helps the brain recognize and shift unhelpful patterns over time.

Clients often seek neurofeedback support for anxiety, trauma, sleep challenges, ADHD, and chronic stress.

It’s not about forcing change.
It’s about supporting the brain’s natural capacity to regulate and adapt.

If you have extended health benefits, you may be able to use them toward Neurofeedback sessions.

When your role is to show up in crisis, hold steady, and care for others — it can be difficult to acknowledge your own need for support.

But even helpers need care.

Stress accumulates. Trauma impacts the nervous system. Burnout is real.

Care for the caregiver matters.

If you serve others professionally or personally, you deserve a space where you don’t have to hold it all.

📝 On the Blog

We’ve shared two new articles on our website:

From Self-Criticism to Self-Compassion
When something goes wrong, many of us instinctively turn inward with harsh evaluations. This post explores how shifting toward self-compassion can change the way we relate to ourselves — especially during difficult moments.

How to Start a Hard Conversation Using “I” Statements
A simple, practical guide to beginning difficult conversations in a manageable way. This article breaks down how to use “I” statements effectively and why many conversations go wrong.

Both blogs offer practical insight you can apply in everyday life.

March Book Recommendation (by Brooke)

“In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts” by Dr. Gabor Maté invites us to look at addiction and coping through a lens of compassion.

Instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?”
It asks, “What happened to you?”

This shift in perspective transforms how we understand trauma, behaviour, and healing.

If you’re interested in exploring the connection between pain, coping, and resilience — this is a powerful read.

Alignment and nervous system function play a meaningful role in overall wellbeing.

Chiropractic care supports mobility, reduces discomfort, and addresses patterns of strain — especially in the spine and joints.

Whether you’re managing chronic pain, headaches, injury recovery, or postural stress, personalized care can help restore movement and comfort.

Integrated wellness often means caring for both the mind and the body.

If you have extended health benefits, you may be able to use them toward Chiropractor sessions.

Happening Today — Join Us Live

Our Mental Health & Wellness Workshop is happening tonight, and there’s still time to join.

🟢 Topic: From Self-Criticism to Self-Compassion

Do you speak to yourself more harshly than you would ever speak to a friend?

Many of us were taught that self-criticism keeps us motivated — yet over time, it can lead to shame, burnout, and emotional exhaustion. Self-compassion offers a different way of relating to ourselves, particularly during difficulty.

Please join practicum student Jess Baldwin to explore what self-compassion really is (and what it’s not), why it can feel challenging to practice, and simple, evidence-informed tools to begin cultivating a kinder inner voice. Through guided exercises, reflection, and gentle nervous system practices, you’ll leave with practical strategies you can use in everyday life.

This workshop is educational and experiential in nature. No prior experience with meditation or self-compassion is needed. You are welcome exactly as you are.
This live webinar invites participants to explore what wellbeing can look like later in life — focusing on meaning, connection, engagement, health, and resilience using evidence-based Positive Psychology.

🗓 Tonight — Wednesday, March 11
🕕 6:00–8:00pm
💻 Live online
