For the 4th year in a row, Team SET members Jon and Chris along with an extended community of friends and family, ran the 20km relay! Well run event, incredible weather and wonderful community of athletes ranging in age from 10-70!

Thankful to have the freedom to participate in events such as these in beautiful, safe spaces, with people we love and respect 🙂

Little snapshot of the last three sessions with U13A integrated programs!

Youth Athlete Development (YAD) isn’t about tossing a giant motor on a developing system and see what happens, hope they survive. It’s about creating space and to help the athletes ‘find’ their body, acquire movement and learn to move in novel ways.

Discovering how to move well (more complete ranges) not just fast, creating stillness and fixed points, learning to not just accelerate but also decelerate and understand how their body can move in a more complete way is not just injury prevention, but performance enhancing!

And yes, we also do conditioning bouts 🙃😉

This past weekend Jon and Chris took on 30km trail race! With a final distance of 32km, 960m of vertical and running in 26-27deg weather, it was a challenge to complete!

Chris finished with an 8th place in a very competitive age group and Jon met all his personal and time goals!
