Are you a Registered Dietitian with a special interest and experience in supporting the postpartum health of parents with babies?

We would love to talk with you!
We are currently looking for an additional dietitian for our Postnatal Health and Well-being Series: Healthy Baby, Healthy Me. We also simply love to have more qualified professionals to call upon when people come to us looking for resources.

If this sparks your interest, please reach out to us here or drop your name and info into our contact form on our website.

We love being a part of this program and we are confident you will too! We are big believers in building your own professional community, while helping perinatal people build theirs. Come join us!

Birth trauma is more common than we would like to think. Some estimates suggest 1 in 3 birthing people experience birth trauma. Of those, a portion will move on to develop PTSD symptoms requiring treatment to resolve.

Due to the nature of trauma and avoidance, it is still a topic that is largely misunderstood but awareness is growing.

Birth trauma can involve physical injury and/or emotional injury. Generally, it also often involves the experience of feeling under-supported and powerless.

What is considered traumatic varies from person to person - and that’s ok. Your experience is just that - YOUR lived experience.

So if you’re having a difficult time after your birth experience but questioning if your experience is “valid” enough to warrant support - we invite you to let that go.

You deserve to feel better and to free up your energy to enjoy your life (as well as your baby).

Not sure where to start? Feel free to reach out to us.

As we wrap up our weekly group endeavours for the summer, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciations to all those who have helped create such an amazing 2025 so far!!

Two of the programs - “Healthy Baby, Healthy Me” and “Connect: Me, We and Baby” - were brought to you by the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation Healthy Community Grant program. We would like to thank them again - their support has been a crucial part to creating these accessible, community-building efforts for perinatal families.

Thank you to all those perinatal professionals and orgs who have come alongside to help bring these programs to the South Rock area (and beyond)! It is such a treat to work with professionals who are willing to walk into a collaborative space and bring the concept of community care to life in real-time! It takes work and it is worth it.

Lastly, our biggest appreciations go to our participants! It has been such a joy to be invited into such an important and tender time in your families’ journey. What a privilege to get to know each of you in this way. We love our “work” with you and we hope it shows!

If you know of anyone who may benefit from these programs, we invite you to share our contact.

Stay tuned for ongoing community-building opportunities!

With all the buzz around Floras Walk on May 4th, we wanted to take a moment ahead to ensure we honour something really important. May4th is recognized as International Bereaved Mother’s Day and also recognized as an awareness day for Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR).

It’s really important to us, to let all of you moms who have endured the incredible pain of losing a child, know that we see you. To the moms who have been in the impossible position of having to make a very complex and layered decision for yourself, your baby and your family - we see you too.

We know this month can be especially hard and we wish for you safe places to land with your grief. Places of connection.

If you are in the lower mainland and would like some connection and support this day, there are a number of events both online and in BC. We invite you to visit to learn about the Rose Petal Tribute in Richmond (and online) and virtual peer support.

Our hearts are with you and your babies 💕🌹

Please pass this along to anyone you know who may benefit. Our heart is with all those impacted. May we come together as communities to be there for all those who may need it right now.

“In wake of the recent tragic events at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver, the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) is offering a free public webinar – ‘Caring for Ourselves & our Communities after Tragic Loss’ to help individuals navigate their emotions and support each other through this difficult time.

The one-hour webinar will explore various approaches - whether individuals are looking for ways to talk to children about what’s happened or hoping for ideas to manage feelings of worry or overwhelm.
