As we step into a brand new year, we are beginning 2026 with deep gratitude and a powerful reminder of what community generosity can make possible.

Today, we are honoured to recognize a remarkable $50,000 gift from Barry’s Construction in support of local healthcare at the Brightshores Health system through the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Just before Christmas, the halls of Brightshores Southampton Hospital were filled with a little extra warmth and kindness thanks to Saugeen Shores Rotary. Their generous sponsorship of patient holiday gifts helped bring moments of comfort and cheer to those spending the holidays in hospital, when being away from home can feel especially hard.

This thoughtful act is a beautiful reminder that, as a community, we care for one another. Thank you, Saugeen Shores Rotary, for your generosity and compassion, and for making it possible for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation to help brighten the holidays for patients and families. 💙

As 2025 comes to a close, take a moment to look at what you have already made possible for your hospital and your community. Because of you, care close to home is stronger, safer, and more compassionate across Saugeen Shores and the Brightshores Health System.

Now there is one final push. One last chance for you to help secure the essential digital systems that quietly support patient care every single day, systems like PaceArt, Oculys, Novari, and PACS that help doctors act faster, keep patients safe, and ensure nothing is missed.

Your community has already raised over $470 000.00 toward this goal. What happens next is up to you.

By donating publicly listed securities to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation before December 31, you avoid capital gains tax and receive a charitable tax receipt for the full market value of your gift. That receipt can be used this year or carried forward for up to five years.
