We’re so excited to offer chiropractic with our very own, Cathy Schmidt starting next week!

Cathy completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2008, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2013. She has been a practicing Chiropractor in the Edmonton area for over 10 years.
Through her practice she saw the relationship between structure and function, and how the body operates as a whole. She completed her Manual Osteopathic Diploma in 2021 to further her knowledge on this connection. She uses a joint by joint approach and targeted fascial release to remove restrictions, increase movement and improve function. Her area of interest include digestive health, pelvic pain and pregnancy care.

Mint Therapeutics enforces a 24-hour cancellation policy to ensure that we can accommodate other clients who may be on a waiting list and to respect the time and preparation involved in each session. This allows us to maintain a high level of service and consistency for all clients. Cancellations made within 24 hours will result in a fee to cover the missed appointment time.

We want to ensure we get you all in this busy season! Book in advance and use our waiting list so you don’t miss out. To help our clinic run smoothly, please follow these tips:

🌱please show up to your appointment. If you cancel last minute or no-show, not only is there a fee, but your practitioner is now left with an hour (or two) break in their day.

🌱give us 48 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. Rebooking becomes challenging when it is the day before. People are busy!

🌱we appreciate each and every one of you that passes through our door. We understand that things come up, like illness or emergencies. Please give us as much notice as possible to cancel your appointment.

🌱fill out your intake form before your treatment. This way you have time to be thorough. We really do read these!

Wanting to get more zzz’s? Sleep is so important and is seriously lacking. Mind racing, stress, nightsweats - it all affects our sleep. According to Health Canada, 50% of adults have troubles falling asleep and/or staying asleep. May we introduce to you, “Twilight Acupuncture.” This is a sleep-based acupuncture treatment booked between 8:30pm to 10:00pm. The clinic will be dark and quiet and set to send you off into La-La land. The treatment is 40 minutes and discounted at $40.00 so that everyone can enjoy! Better yet, direct billing is available. This is a perfect opportunity to talk about how acupuncture can “clear heat.” Heat can settle in the body and manifest as inflammation, hot flashes, nightsweats, sore throat, nosebleeds and even insomnia. There are several acupuncture points that are used to clear heat, including LI 11, DU 14, ST 44. Cooling herbs may also be prescribed to help out.
