Hello Everyone,
Alycol Health in conjuction with City of Spruce Grove (FCSS) is facilitating a trauma informed emotional regulation workshop tomorrow (and next Saturday) here in Spruce Grove. We have had several last minute cancellations and currently have space available. We know it's last minute but we'd hate to see spaces not used in this fully funded workshop.
The workshop is 9:30 to 2:00 PM tomorrow at 414 Kings Street, Spruce Grove, AB.
If you, or any other adult you know, is interested and available, please contact me vanessa.foley@alycolhealth.com OR message me on here. If you see this and don't get a response, feel free to meet me between 9 and 9:30 at the address above, we can register you in person.
Kindly,
Vanessa Foley

6 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO TO PROTECT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

🔹 Take a break when things get ‘a bit too much’ It’s okay to take a step back 🔹

🔹 Learn to say NO to people or situations that have a negative impact on your mental health 🔹

🔹 Create a safe space for yourself by journaling your thoughts 🔹

🔹 Take time away from your phone and the noise of social media apps 🔹

🔹 Ask for help, you don’t have to do things in your own 🔹

🔹 Have a good cry and let your emotions out, you’re allowed to feel things 🔹

🔹 And know that if you ever need to chat, come and say hey. YOU ARE NEVER ALONE 🔹

🌟🌟

It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, often neglecting our own needs and mental health. It's time to take a step back, reflect, and prioritize your well-being. 😊

Improving mental health isn't just about overcoming challenges, it's about embracing self-love, compassion, and growth. Whether it's by meditating, journaling, or simply taking time to enjoy the present moment, each small step counts. It's time to bring more positivity, resilience, and happiness into your life. 💕

Important Notice from our Director, Vanessa

Good morning Alycol Health family!

As you know, providing high quality services is our primary goal at Alycol. As you may also know, we are a small (but mighty) clinic that focuses on being safe, welcoming and accessible. In order to continue to provide programs such as the Restore Program, which has helped 100's of individuals access counselling at a reduced cost, we have tailed our administrative time to keep down the costs of running these programs so that they are sustainable. Part of keeping those costs low are in us utilizing part-time and virtual admin staff. Our admin staff does it's best to provide excellent services within this framework.

It has come to my attention that there was a negative google review relating to our administrative work. We are unable to locate this person in our system to address the concerns. As a clinic, we do not illicit or request reviews for many reasons but not doing so also has a devastating effect on our clinic and staff. Negative reviews when we are such a small clinic are devastating for us and can certainly impact our ability to continue providing the pro-bono services included in our Restore Program.

As we cannot address this review, I wanted to personally post to remind everyone that our contact information changed 1 year ago and that now the best way to reach us is:
Phone: 780-409-8798
Email: information@alycolhealth.com

Please know that contacting specific therapists is not recommended but rather contacting our incredible admin staff is necessary.

Thank you to those who have supported us over the years and it is my goal that we will be better and stronger together in 2024.

Most Kindly,
Vanessa Foley
