“Why now?”

I asked a client on their consult recently, “Why now?”. Why choose this exact moment to step into coaching rather than waiting until things settle, until the calendar clears, until “later”?

They paused. Then said something that landed in both of us:
“Because if I wait, I’ll keep waiting. And I don’t want to keep circling the same patterns anymore.”

Their words were an opening. A moment of honesty, and an invitation for us both to lean in.

I could feel their vulnerability
and I could also feel how much of it was for me, too. You’ve likely felt that tug-of-war 😏 the desire to change paired with the pull of resistance (often disguises itself as logic).

⚡It reminded me of a quote from Wendell Berry:
“𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙀𝙪 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙀𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙀𝙛𝙛 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙀 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚, 𝙖𝙡𝙀𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙀𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙛 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙... 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙀𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙀𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙔𝙀𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙣𝙀𝙩 𝙀𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙀𝙛 𝙮𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚.”

This is what 1:1 coaching is.
Not a project plan.
Not another leadership framework.
But the courageous act of meeting yourself in a new place. 📍

💭 Here’s the question I’ll leave you with:
What if the version of you who closes out 2025 already exists waiting for you to say yes to the next 3 months?

The only question is
are you willing to meet them now?

Halfway up this hike, my brain started firing off very important questions like...

“Why do I do this to myself?”
“Will I get stung and have an allergic reaction?”
“Whose idea was this?”
“Oh right
 mine.”

Fatigue was setting in during the 20 km journey in the blazing heat.
My nervous system was buzzing.
And yet, something inside reminded me this 𝘪𝘎 the edge.

🏔 Growth doesn’t have to mean bulldozing through.
It’s about stretching 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘎𝘯𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘚.
Expanding while staying grounded.

Regulating while still moving forward (even if you’re muttering under your breath about the incline).

That’s what I help leaders with...not the hiking part (though snacks at the top are a bonus) but the learning-to-expand-without-burnout part.

Because pushing your limits is inevitable.
But doing it in a way that feels sustainable?
That’s a choice.

🖀 So next time you’re halfway up your own “hill”

What’s your version of grounding yourself so you can keep going?

In each client session, it’s a space to stretch edges, explore regulation, and step into expansion without losing yourself in the climb. This can look like:

▾ Identifying the mental stories and patterns that hold you back and reframing them to create forward motion.

▾ Recognizing when your nervous system is in overdrive and using targeted regulation techniques to stay present and resourceful.

▾ Setting actionable steps that push your limits safely so the climb feels challenging, not crushing.

Some rooms change you.
Not because of the décor, the schedule, or the snacks (though, let’s be honest
the food at .wilder’s FEAST will be unforgettable). 🀀

It’s the people.
The women who walk in carrying quiet dreams, big visions, and a little bit of fear and walk out feeling braver, lighter, and more seen than they have in years.

On October 26th in Squamish, BC, they’ll come together for one day that’s not a conference, not a retreat, and definitely not another networking grind.

It’s a day where you’ll hear yourself in someone else’s story.
Where laughter breaks down walls.
Where possibility feels contagious.

It’s a *pinch me* moment to share that I’ll be one of the speakers. Opening the day, grounding the room, and setting the tone before three other incredible speakers take the stage to share their stories and spark the conversations you likely didn’t know you needed.

“I’ve never had such calm clarity, conviction, or intention around who I am and what I want from life.” 😳

That’s how Joe wrapped up our last 3 months together.
(Then immediately signed on for another 3.) 🙏🏻

This wasn’t about “crushing it.”
It wasn’t about hustling harder.
It wasn’t even about finding the “right” career move.

It was about:
🌀 Unlearning the habit of living for everyone else’s expectations
🌀 Reconnecting to what they actually wanted
🌀 Equipping them with tools to stay grounded when life gets
 lifey

They’d spent years investing in their physical health (physio, acupuncture, massage, chiro) but had never put the same care toward their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Until now.
Three months later?

They feel more like themselves than at any point in their working life.
With Calm. Clarity. Conviction.

So graciously indicating, “Mallory has helped me shed the layers of doing what I thought others expected of me, and instead has helped unlock a spark to chase what I’m truly passionate about.”

That’s the real work.
Not just career strategy → nervous system strategy.
Not just mindset shifts → identity shifts.
When your inner world is steady, your outer world expands to match it.

✹ If you’ve been holding it all together on the outside but feeling frayed inside

Perhaps this is your cue.
Because the life you want isn’t built by adding more pressure.

You can rewire your patterns, come back to your values, and build a career and life that actually feels like yours.

That’s the work I do.
And it’s why I love it.

You know that moment when you’re finally alone. The dishwasher’s humming, your phone is face down, And you should feel relaxed

but your system’s still buzzing?

Your shoulders are tense, your breath shallow, and you’re scrolling or pacing or tidying that one last thing because
stillness? 🀷🏌‍♀

It doesn’t feel safe yet.

👆🏌That was me.
For years, I didn’t realize how much I was living from this low, constant edge. The push. The vigilance. The quiet undercurrent of “I need to do more.”

✹ That’s how Reiki found me.
Not as a lightning bolt

But as a whisper.
The kind that doesn’t shout over the noise but patiently waits for you to notice it’s been there the whole time.

In the early days of my healing journey, I was chasing answers.
Trying to do healing, not feel it.

But Reiki didn’t ask me to do anything.
It invited me to soften. To let go of the myth that healing looks like power poses and peak performance.

To see that safety isn’t in the thinking it’s in the being. And that the deepest choice we ever make isn’t between right and wrong

it’s between fear and faith.

💭 What if every choice is just an act of devotion?

One client recently shared, “This work doesn’t feel like something I booked
it feels like something I remembered.”

Because it’s not about fixing.
It’s about returning.
To your body.
To your truth.
To a place where your nervous system doesn’t have to armor up to exist.
This is the medicine.
Not in the doing but in the allowing.

Standing at the edge of something breathtaking doesn’t always mean your body is ready to take it in.

That was me yesterday at Wedgemount Lake.
📍Mist curling over glacial water. Legs burning from the climb. A moment of stillness
 but not yet still inside.

Because when you’re setting big goals, your mind might say “YES!” but your body might still whisper, not yet.

⚡ Goals aren’t just milestones.
They’re states of being.
And sometimes, your nervous system isn’t quite ready for the version of you you’re trying to step into.

That vision you’re chasing?
It’s not about the number, the title, or the next big leap.
It’s about your nervous system feeling ready, worthy, and stable enough to hold it.

Yet if you’re visualizing from the stressed, stuck, overextended version of yourself
you’ll struggle to bridge the gap.

This isn’t just mindset work.
It’s subconscious attunement.
It’s body-based.
It’s the work of regulation, not just motivation. You collapse time when you embody the state of your success before it shows up. That’s when things start to land naturally, sustainably, and without force.

Here’s how I support high-capacity humans (leaders, creatives, and founders) who are done waiting for permission from their nervous system to thrive:
⚡ Subconscious reprogramming to shift what’s been running the show
⚡ Somatic practices to create real safety + capacity
⚡ Strategic tools to anchor sustainable change

If you’re standing between your vision and your reality and the gap feels too far to close this is the work that closes it.

Yesterday reminded me...Growth doesn’t need ideal conditions.
Just presence and a body that believes it’s safe to rise.

I once tried to coach myself through a full-on identity crisis with a journal, a matcha latte, and a playlist called “Becoming Her.”

It did not go well.
(Unless you count cleaning out my kitchen pantry as breakthrough work.)

Here’s the thing no one warns you about when you’re the coach, the founder, the leader, the one everyone else comes to:
Your insight can’t always get you out of the pattern you’re in.

Not because you’re lacking tools but because you’re inside the noise.
Self-coaching is beautiful.
It builds muscle for reflection.
It keeps you honest.
It reminds you you’re not broken, just becoming.
But sometimes
your own mind is the very echo chamber you need to step outside of.

I can often spot a nervous system loop in a client in mere minutes.
But when I’m the one in the loop? I’ll just call it being “in process” and try to breathe it out.

The truth?
🌀 You can’t regulate what you can’t see.
🌀 You can’t rewire what you’re still rationalizing.
🌀 And you definitely can’t expand if the version of you leading the growth still believes your worth is tied to over-functioning.

We’re all susceptible to our own blind spots (especially the high-functioning ones). Especially the ones used to being the ones others lean on.

I say this with love and a well-earned dose of humility:
→ Even the most masterful guide needs a guide.
→ Even the leader needs to be led, sometimes.
→ Even the strong ones need space to fall apart (and come back together) without trying to hold it all.

You don’t have to do this all on your own.
And you’re not any less capable for letting someone hold the lantern while you find your way.

If you’re in a season of growth, transition, or just feeling a little “blah in the middle,” reach out. Let’s get on a call, and have sessions that remind you:
You don’t need to fix yourself. You just need to be met where you actually are.

Our minds are brilliant in this respect 🧠

at naming problems. 😵‍💫
‹They scan for what’s missing.
What’s uncertain.
What might not be safe.
It’s smart. It’s protective.
‹But just because the mind names something as a problem
 doesn’t mean it actually is.

When I’m working with a client, I’m not just listening to their story. I’m listening to how they’re defining their experience. The language they use.‹The labels they’ve unknowingly accepted. The meaning they’ve given to something that may not even be true anymore.

🌀 My work isn’t about fixing. It’s about revealing.
‹Often the “problem” we think we’re facing is just a well-worn mental loop. A protection pattern, not a present truth.

So instead of rushing toward urgency
‹We pause.‹We ask:
⁉Where is the actual problem?‹(And how much of it is just noise?)

This kind of listening isn’t surface-level. It’s not meant to soothe or validate every thought.‹It’s meant to shift something deeper. To uncover those blindspots.

If you’re in a place where old perspectives feel too tight
and you’re ready to see with fresh eyes (not just talk it out) then you’ll know this is for you.

I’ve found myself saying these three words a lot lately on connect calls ⬇

‹“I see you.”

Because behind the impressive resumes and big goals, I keep meeting people who are quietly exhausted. Who’ve achieved so much but still wonder if it’s ever enough. Who are questioning why they don’t feel more fulfilled, even with all the boxes checked.

And I get it.‹I’ve been there, too.
It’s what led me to this belief ✹:
True happiness and contentment take real courage.
‹Courage to believe that you are enough.‹That where you are, right now, is enough.

So many of us our conditioned to push for more. To stay busy. To measure worth by output.‹And while there’s nothing wrong with ambition, it’s something else entirely to be able to sit in stillness and say:
‹“I love my life, just as it is.” 💕

That’s not complacency.‹That’s freedom.

Because if you can’t feel content at different points along the way, no title or milestone will bring you peace.
‹Checklists live outside of you. Fulfillment doesn’t.
It’s being able to enjoy your success without being defined by it.‹To rest without guilt.‹To lead without self-doubt.‹To slow down without losing yourself.

💭🧠Sometimes the most powerful shift begins with just 90 seconds of stillness. A moment to notice what you’re feeling without trying to change it, fix it, or push it away. When you allow space for what’s real, without judgment, you start building the kind of presence that isn’t shaken by titles, to-do lists, or timelines. That presence is where calm and clarity begin.

07/17/2025

Leadership, at its best, is often invisible.

It’s someone choosing integrity over ego.‹It’s the quiet courage to speak truth in a room that values silence.‹It’s creating safety, not spotlight.

But here’s a common challenge:‹Many of the people who lead this way
who naturally lead with depth, care, and intention
 with vision over volume

are tired.

Disillusioned.
Even stepping back entirely.

They feel the weight.‹They see the cracks.‹And they’re not interested in playing games that compromise their values.

Meanwhile, others (the one’s more interested in power than purpose) are often stepping forward with confidence that doesn’t always match their character.

Perhaps you’re someone who:
→ Chooses to do what’s right over what’s easy
→ Includes someone who’s being overlooked
→ Leads by example when no one was watching

If so, I’m so glad you’re here.
‹That’s the kind of leadership we desperately need more of.

You don’t need to become louder.‹You just need to keep standing in what’s real.

💭 What would change if you started owning the influence you already have?

✹ You don’t need a new plan. You need a new way of being with yourself.
When I first connected with my coach a year(ish) ago she asked me something that stayed with me:

💭 “What speed actually feels sustainable for you?”

Not what looks good on paper.
Not what others expect.
But what pace could you actually hold 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘚 𝘰𝘶𝘵, 𝘎𝘩𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘚 𝘥𝘰𝘞𝘯, 𝘰𝘳 𝘎𝘊𝘀𝘰𝘯𝘥-𝘚𝘶𝘊𝘎𝘎𝘪𝘯𝘚 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘎𝘊𝘭𝘧?

It wasn’t a dramatic moment just a quiet truth landing.

I wasn’t resisting change.
I was defaulting to old patterns of urgency.

And since then, I’ve watched that same loop show up in so many of the individuals I support.

They’re not confused.
They’re 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙀𝙣.
Letting go of a version of success that required them to be “on” all the time even when their system was begging for stillness.

They don’t need more strategy.
They need a way to feel safe in the space between what was
 and what’s next.

In our work, we slow it down. Not because you’re “broken”,
but because your next level of clarity requires a new level of safety.

We:
↪ Unhook from productivity-as-worth conditioning
↪ Rewire limiting beliefs around pressure and pace
↪ Create spacious, nervous-system-aligned next steps
↪ Reconnect you with your own timing, power, and presence

This isn’t about doing less.
It’s about doing 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 from a place that actually feels like you.

Here’s a question we don’t ask ourselves enough but one that matters more than we think. 😏

When’s the last time you said something 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙙 to yourself?
Not in passing.
Not performative.
But something that made you feel even a little more empowered in the next moment of your life?

I asked this question Wednesday at Women & Wealth Power Lunch. Not because we don’t want to be kind to ourselves

But because we’ve been taught that self-critique is how we grow.
That pushing harder is strength.
That self-love is a bonus, not the foundation.

💕 The way you speak to yourself shapes your ability to lead, to connect, to handle pressure. Compassion actually lights up the learning centres in your brain. It lowers stress, boosts connection, and gives your system the safety it needs to take risks and evolve. And the peanut butter on top?

Self-love isn’t something you “just have.”
It’s something you can learn.
You can rewire your brain.
You can 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 a new way of relating to yourself ... one thought, one pause, one moment at a time.

On Wednesday, we explored this through somatic tools, reflection, and even a little EFT. I shared my own truth. This work is personal. But it’s also collective.

Because when you start showing up for 𝙮𝙀𝙪 with more compassion...
It changes how you show up for everyone else too.
And that? That’s the greater good.
🌀 More of this, please.
