Kristen has spent the past 10 years learning about birth, postpartum care, baby care, and mindfulness. She holds reverence for the birth of babies, the birth of mothers, and the birth of cultural change in these areas. Kristen is a birth educator, advocate, and holder of space for birthing families. She has experienced attending all types of births including VBACs, water births, and cesarean sections - providing support both in and outside of the OR.

Trust, connection and safety are the values she holds dear when working with families. Kristen also works in supporting pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and abortion. Some of the faces of ❤️ Missing Helen who was flying back to Canada from the UK where she is from and Chelsea who left before we remembered to snap a shot!

The doulas of Sea to Sky Baby meet every 6 weeks to center on topics of interest, debrief experiences supporting families, ask questions, and support one another in this work. One of the greatest aspects of working as a group is having each other. Birth work can be a very isolating journey and with each other we are making our work more sustainable, enriching, and quite honestly fun. This was a big reason and Clara .birth took over Sea to Sky Baby 6 months ago. They wanted to sustain their own practices and bring women together in support of each other and the community as a whole. What a beautiful thing 💞

Today Sea to Sky Baby celebrated that since January we have;

🌊 supporting 24 babies coming into this world.
🌊 supporting 3 families in the postpartum period.
🌊 teaching 4 prenatal classes.
🌊 encapsulating 3 placentas.
🌊 renting 9 birth pools.
🌊 renting 14 TENS machines.
🌊 offering 1 private hypnobirthing class.
🌊 offering 2 VBAC workshops.
🌊 creating opportunities for loss support.
🌊 building tons of new relationships with care providers and allied professionals in the community!

Our winter, spring and summer schedule is set!

Come hang out with our educators and fellow pregnant families in the Sea to Sky to gain knowledge, learn skills and build community for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.

Our classes are tailored to what the Sea to Sky has to offer it's families. Our classes are filled with evidence based information, practical skills and methods, as well as heart centred and soul-led inquiry so that your birth experience mirrors your unique values, beliefs, and desires.

We believe the earlier you take a prenatal class the better! This is because pregnancy is a journey and the decisions you make will impact the birth you will have. Learning how to align your pregnancy with your desired birth is key!

Chelsea fell in love with birth 15 years ago and is now serving births in the Sea to Sky Corridor and beyond.

Through becoming a mother herself, various trainings, a mentorship and many years of self led learning she has come to appreciate and revere the tremendous value of supporting mothers and families through this powerful and life changing portal.

Chelsea believes that an empowered mama and a birth that aligns with her highest vision, sets the stage for the parenting journey ahead.

Her deepest desire as a doula is to be an anchor and a guide. Through her education and experience she will support you in navigating through this journey with intention and nourishing care. Her wish is that through this experience you will come out feeling seen, heard and empowered by your choices and beautiful birth.

The path into motherhood is one of the biggest rights of passage a woman will transition through. With practices, education, deep listening and consistent support, Chelsea will assist you in moving through that passage and creating a birth plan and path that is right for you and your family.

During postpartum, she will be there to support you and fill in the gaps as you step into the new role of motherhood.

Chelsea believes that there is no one way to birth. Only the right way for you, your family, and your baby.

AMANDA CLARK - Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Hypnobirthing Instructor supporting families in Pemberton, Whistler, and Squamish.

Amanda’s journey as a doula began on the peaceful island of Koh Samui, Thailand, where she collaborated with a Russian doula who had founded the maternity center, Mom to Be. Together, they provided invaluable support to families from around the globe, helping them navigate the unique challenges of giving birth far from home. Their partnership brought powerful opportunities, including collaboration with Wattanapat Hospital to promote a more mother-led approach to birth. Amanda also embraced Thai healing traditions, incorporating womb-lifting massage into postpartum care, enriching her practice with a holistic and nurturing touch.
