Meet Coach Amanda — the newest addition to our Vancouver + Port Moody beSTRONG crew! 🎉⁠
We’re so excited to welcome her to the team!⁠

Amanda discovered her passion for doing hard things through Brazilian jiu jitsu. She’s been training and competing for five years and proudly received her purple belt in August 2025. Beyond jiu jitsu, Amanda loves lifting, kettlebell flows, photography, spending time in nature, and dancing (yes — she’s known to throw epic solo living room dance parties, and may even sneak a move or two mid-workout).⁠

We asked Amanda a few fun questions so you can get to know her better:⁠

✨ Favourite workout song?⁠
“I love a good pump-up track. 'Get Up, Get Out' by Born Dirty always hypes me up for a workout.”⁠

✨ What fictional character would you want to workout with and what exercise? ⁠
"Xena the Warrior Princess. I'd set up a HIIT circuit that finished with her teaching me how to throw the chakram (her razor-edge throwing ring)."⁠

✨ Guilty pleasure treat? ⁠
"Chocolate-peanut butter ANYTHING."⁠

✨ If you had to choose bodyweight or free weight exercises for the rest of your life, what would you pick and why? ⁠
"I would choose free weight exercises, because the added resistance lends itself to my preferred sport -- and because osteoporosis runs in my family. Working out for that bone density!"⁠

✨ What’s one fun fact about you? ⁠
"I'm a purple belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and I love to compete."⁠

Amanda is now taking clients in Vancouver — and Port Moody, you'll have to wait a little bit longer but the countdown is on! ⏳💪⁠

When she first came in, back and neck pain were holding her back from fully enjoying day-to-day life. Fast forward to now: she’s back doing the things she loves, crushing long workdays at the office and road trips without discomfort.⁠
