Good to know!

If you have parasites, you have toxins. Full stop.

In fact, parasites aren’t just carriers — they’re reservoirs for toxins.

They hold on to:

☣️ Heavy metals
🦠 Pathogenic bacteria and viruses
☣️ Mold and mycotoxins
🧫 Environmental chemicals
💊 Drug residues

And they don’t just sit there quietly. They release these toxins into your system — especially during die-off or stress.

So if you’re addressing parasites without addressing toxicity?
You’re likely just trading one problem for another.

👉 This is why many people feel worse during parasite protocols.
👉 And why detoxing before, during, and after is essential.

It’s not enough to “kill the bug.”
We need to support the terrain — fascia, lymph, bile flow, mitochondria — so your body can safely eliminate what’s been stored.

Parasites are never just parasites. They're a mirror of the toxic load.

it's ok

it's all ok

breathe

see yourself going through this calmly

feel how good it feels to be on the other side of this

hear yourself saying it's over now, I made it

I am ok

all of life's adventures have brought you here

trust

trust that you can catch

I'm not usually someone that says the word "wrong" (unless truly appropriate) but this one hit home today.

When I look back at relationships, events, situations, having a better perspective now, I can ask why that version of me chose to stay there for so long. Obviously I was afraid of being alone or unloved. We all have basic needs. But I spent years in relationships and friendships that wore me right down and I thought I was doing something wrong.

Sometimes we don't even know when someone is gaslighting us or using us or manipulating us until its too late.

Some people will put up with a lot just so they don't have to start over again. I get it!

Walking away from toxic relationships was the best thing I did for myself. It doesn't mean I don't love those people anymore, it means I couldn't help them if they didn't want to help themselves and I realized life was so precious and I had more to offer and I deserved better. They deserved better too but they couldn't see it at the time.

Codependence takes us away from being able to stay connected to ourselves. Our own guidance. Our own wisdom. Our own dreams and goals.

It always "takes two to make a thing go wrong" and walking away allowed me to step into a better version of myself also. Doors opened. I found my person. I found my people...

Walking away can be so terrifying... Especially if we don't have the resources to do it.

In Canada there are programs and places we can go to. Phone numbers you can call.

Trust me, I know how hard it is to walk away. I really do. Take your time. Get help and make sure to keep yourself safe.

Don't let anyone steal your sunshine...

The world is waiting for your greatness.

Ps. I've had people tell me that need to walj away from me. It sucks but I learn more about myself and do my best to work on my poo. Some people have some pretty high standards and I'll never be able to meet those, and that's ok too. I'm not everyone's cup of tea... Most important, is that I become the person I am most proud of and be my own cup of tea!

Me: Is the 10'000 steps a day strategy scientifically backed?

Chatgpt: Great question — the 10,000 steps a day goal is popular, but it's more of a marketing origin than a hard scientific benchmark. Here's the full picture:

---

✅ Where it came from:

The "10,000 steps" idea originated in Japan in the 1960s, from a pedometer called "manpo-kei", which means “10,000 steps meter.” It was a marketing slogan, not a medical guideline.

---

🧪 What science actually says:

Recent research shows benefits at lower step counts, especially for older adults and sedentary individuals:

🔹 1. Mortality and Health Risk

4,000–7,500 steps/day already shows a significant reduction in all-cause mortality, especially in older adults (Study: JAMA Internal Medicine, 2019).

Risk of heart disease, cancer, and early death decreases steadily with more steps up to a point (~8,000–10,000).

No added benefit beyond 10,000–12,000 steps/day for most people.

🔹 2. Mental Health & Well-being

Even short bouts of walking (e.g., 3,000–5,000 steps) can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance focus.

🔹 3. Weight Management & Fitness

More steps do help with caloric burn, but intensity matters more. Fast-paced or uphill walking gives better cardiovascular and metabolic benefits than a flat slow stroll.

---

🧠 TL;DR:

✅ 10,000 steps isn’t a magic number, but it’s not harmful either — it’s just a nice round goal.

✅ Health benefits start around 4,000–5,000 steps/day and improve up to around 8,000–10,000.

🚶 Quality (pace, intensity, consistency) matters more than just hitting a number.

---

If you're sedentary, aiming for incremental increases is more important than chasing 10,000 right away. Let me know if you want a custom step goal based on your age, fitness level, or health goals!

" It’s not mental illness. It’s a hormone storm. When progesterone drops in perimenopause, you lose your calming buffer. Estrogen swings make you cortisol-sensitive. The HPA axis (your stress system) can get loud. Symptoms? Rage. Insomnia. Dysregulation. Resentment. Exhaustion. Thoughts of divorce. This isn’t mental illness. It’s a hormone storm." ~ Sara Gottfried, MD / Szal

I know a lot of people love mag bisglycnate but I for one, cannot use it. It does work wonders for others. This is a good guide when starting out with magnesium. If you're going to take it daily, best to find the best quality (no additives or fillers like magnesium oxide) and ideally a pullulan capsules (which is made from various sources but usually very easy to digest). I like activated / Ionic magnesium citrate POWDER like ITL Heath's MAG365. It has been a game changer for me. I use their Bone Formula as well, and love it because it does NOT have calcium.
