🎤 In 2 Days! As a Certified Dr. Gordon Neufeld Parenting Consultant and Educator, I’ve had the privilege of being trained by and working alongside Dr. Neufeld and his institute for many years. Through this work, I’ve supported hundreds of parents, grandparents, educators, and caregivers in understanding the emotional and psychological development of children and adolescents.

My focus is on helping adults build secure, healthy attachments with their children — relationships that promote growth, resilience, maturity, and emotional well-being. I’m trained in the science of connection, and I believe that when we truly understand how kids are meant to develop, we can guide them with more confidence, compassion, and clarity. My goal is to help parents, caregivers, and educators see beyond behaviour and into the underlying emotional needs that drive a child’s actions.

Hi! Parenting Event at the BAG on Nov 18! I’m super excited to be offering a first of a kind presentation that will emphasize the significance of a secure attachment in order to cultivate a healthy parent-child relationship.

This presentation will delve into children and adolescence deep inner world and will educate the audience on everything I know to be significant about their emotional and psychological development.

I’ve had the great honour and experience of being trained by and working alongside Dr. Gordon Neufeld and his institute for many years. I’ve been a Certified Neufeld Parenting Consultant and Educator since 2009. My training is in attachment and developmental science.

I’ve worked with many parents, grandparents, foster parents, educators and physicians in my parenting consultant role. I’ve taught many parenting courses over the years on topics such as anger, resistance, discipline, bullying and anxiety to name a few.

I’m taking my 90 minute parenting consulting session to the Brackendale Art Gallery in Squamish. This will be a highly informative evening!

The first step to helping my couples improve their relationship is understanding why relationships fail in the first place. Approximately 70% of couples don’t make it and only 30% do.

I am a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist, trained by Dr. John and Julie Gottman, who are leading research scientists on marriage and family with over 40 years of landmark research.

Dr. John Gottman is the author of several books including “The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” and “And Baby Makes Three”.

I use The Gottman Method to assist couples in addressing their relationship issues and building a stronger, more resilient connection.

This approach helps couples navigate potential challenges, such as communication issues, conflict resolution, feeling stagnant, and living parallel lives (to name a few), and develop strategies and skills to prevent them.

The Relationship Clinic offers various ways to help couples. The Gottman Method is one of them.

I am highly trained in Dr. Gordon Neufeld's attachment paradigm and bring extensive experience in supporting families and professionals through various challenges. I have almost two decades’ of experience working with children and youth.

Parenting consulting sessions are highly educational and will emphasize the significance of a secure attachment, which will help you foster a healthy parent-child relationship. Through our session together, I will provide you with insights, tools and strategies to help you understand your child's emotional and psychological development. We will delve into your child's deep inner world, helping you further understand their behaviours, which can help you learn how to respond more empathically to their needs.
I will empower you as a parent to learn how to support your child's maturing process and teach you how to raise a resilient child.

For parents who are going through a separation, I will help you navigate the separation with care and sensitivity. Separation can be a challenging time for both parents and children. My guidance includes education and support to help your family through this transition, ensuring your children's emotional well-being remains the top priority.

I'm certified in 10 of Dr. Neufeld’s courses and I facilitate parenting education courses and shorter presentations year-round. These courses include:

Meet our newest practitioner, Melissa Johanson, RMT. Melissa has been practicing massage therapy since graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2005. Melissa has worked with a variety of athletes both amateur and professional providing massage therapy that supported treatment & recovery of various sports-related injuries. She has participated in many sports herself and understands the training, muscle imbalances and injuries that can happen, having been through many of them herself!
