Four years of growth, healing, learning, community, and many cups of coffee later…

In April, Little House Massage Therapy quietly celebrated 4 years in business. Somehow, between long clinic days, weather closures, illness, community events, and everything in between, the milestone passed before I had the chance to properly celebrate.

What started as a little summer project with my family for fishing and getting away - somehow turned into the Little House — and into something so much bigger (and permanent) than I ever imagined. Over the years, it has become a space for healing, connection, support, good conversations, and community care. I truly could not have built this without the incredible people who continue to support it.

Thank you to every patient who has trusted me with their care, supported this small business, shared kind words, referred friends and family, attended workshops, and continued to support Little House throughout these past four years. Your trust and encouragement have meant more than I can fully express.

This past year, especially, has been a reminder of the importance of health, balance, and community. I am incredibly grateful to continue doing the work I love and to be part of such a supportive community.

Here’s to slower mornings, healing hands, good people, and whatever Year 5 may bring.

After some time away recovering, Little House slowly reopened this week.

I’m not back at full capacity just yet, but my body is feeling much better and I’m grateful to finally be easing back into work again — slowly, carefully, and with lots of appreciation for the patience and kindness shown over the past few weeks.

At this time, my focus is on existing patients and gradually rebuilding my schedule in a way that supports long-term healing.

Thank you all for your continued understanding, encouragement, and support. It truly means more than you know.

I just wanted to send a quick note as a fellow SECC member to give you a heads up the Golf Tournament in September; it’s shaping up to be a great event.

We’ll have team entries available if you’re interested in playing, along with a range of sponsorship opportunities—from smaller options to larger feature sponsorships. We’re also welcoming businesses who may prefer to contribute by providing items or gift certificates for prizes.

No pressure at all—I just wanted to keep you in the loop early. If it’s something you or your business might be interested in, I’d be happy to send along more details as we continue planning.

Send me a DM if you'd like me to keep you posted!

Thanks

I am back to work this week and slowly easing into my schedule.

At this time, I have turned off new patient bookings as I focus on rescheduling existing patients.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please keep an eye out for updates regarding my summer and fall schedule coming soon.

I wanted to share an update for April regarding the clinic.

I am currently in recovery and actively rehabbing my back. While I am making steady and positive progress, I am not yet at a point where I can safely return to treating. At this time, I’ll be continuing my closure through April to fully focus on healing and ensure a safe and sustainable return to work.

My goal is to be back in May, feeling stronger and able to provide the level of care you’re used to receiving at Little House.

I sincerely apologize to those—especially new patients—who have had their initial appointments impacted during this time. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you would like the opportunity to book an earlier appointment upon my return (if availability allows), please ensure you are added to the online waitlist. This will be the best way to access any openings that may come up.

Thank you all for your continued support, kindness, and understanding while I take this time to recover properly. It truly means so much.

Warmly,
Suzie

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a quick update. I’ve now been off for two weeks due to a pinched nerve, and while I was really hoping to be back (even part-time) by now, I’m unfortunately not there yet. I’m still dealing with significant pain, limited standing tolerance, and very disrupted sleep.

As much as I miss being at the clinic, it’s not realistic for me to return just yet. I’ll need to remain closed for another week, and will be cancelling appointments a few days at a time as I continue to monitor my progress.

I’ll be reaching out to affected patients individually. At this time, I’m unable to reschedule as my calendar remains fully booked ahead.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support while I focus on healing.

Hi everyone 🤍

I wanted to share a quick update on where I’m at with my back injury. I’m currently on day 8, and while I’m starting to notice small improvements each day, the pain is still quite intense. I’m still only able to sleep in short stretches (about 10–15 minutes at a time), and I’m not yet able to bear weight on one leg due to neuropathy.

It’s clear I still have a bit of a road ahead, but I’m staying optimistic and focusing on the little gains as they come. I have a beautiful team of healthcare workers around me - so I can promise I am doing all the things!!

I’ve been getting a lot of messages about returning to treatment, and I truly appreciate your patience and support. While I continue to recover, I highly recommend connecting with some wonderful practitioners in our community who are currently accepting new patients:
• Dr. Cheri Palmer French River Chiropractic
• Deme Warren Massage Therapy
• Sandy Longworth Holistics in Alban (TCM, Accu)

Thank you again for all your kindness—it truly means so much to me 🤍
