IOHS has an immediate opening for a Kinesiologist. All applicants must hold a degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics from a recognized college or university and be eligible for Certification by the Newfoundland and Labrador Kinesiology Association. Certification as a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology is an asset.

Experience and/or knowledge in the following areas would be a definite asset: pre-employment fitness testing; ergonomics; work hardening/conditioning; job site analysis; and fitness programming.

An estimate of 20 to 30 hours per week is required with potential for full-time hours for a contractual or part-time position for 1 year. (Maternity leave position)

Every May, the Canadian Mental Health Association's (CMHA) Mental Health Week helps to shift societal beliefs and perceptions about mental health!

From May 3rd to 9th 2021, Kinesiologists across Canada will join the conversation about how physical activity can have an impact on Canadians’ mental health.
