All Lanes homes came together once again to raise funds for the children of Rwanda through our annual Hearts for Rwanda campaign.

Each year, our homes create incredible fundraising opportunities—from candy stands and basket draws to many other community events—all made possible through the dedication of our residents and staff. Every donation is recognized with a heart displayed proudly on our wall, which is then sent to the children of Rwanda with the sponsor’s name attached.

This year, thanks to the five amazing Lanes Retirement Living homes in Newfoundland—Port Saunders, Carbonear, Irishtown-Summerside, St. John’s, and Botwood—and the generous support of residents, families, friends, managers, and staff, we raised an incredible $3,406.00.

We were honoured to present a cheque to David Jenkins and Sherry, knowing these funds will help build schools, provide textbooks, support education, and provide two meals a day for over 220 children in the village of Gateko, Rwanda for one month.

Every child deserves a classroom and a future, and we are proud to help make a difference.
