We dissolved her lips in late summer last year, after several sessions of filler over the years (not by me), she began getting some migration and we needed to start fresh!

Her comment was easily one of my favourites as I was unexpectedly transitioning from my old employer to self-employed and bouncing around a bit, before opening Muse at its current location…. and I quote (-ish)

“Kristin, I don’t care where you inject me, if it has to be on cold dirty concrete - I am not going anywhere else, and I couldn’t care less where you’re located” 😆

Well, we didn’t have to do it on concrete, but we did use revanesse Outline+ over two sessions to plump these beauties back up to their natural glory!

(Redness and swelling, albeit minimal, are normal immediately post treatment)

Today is National Single Parent Day 🤍

I became a single parent in 2016 after leaving a relationship with the help of the police to keep my children and I safe, and again in 2020 after leaving another harmful relationship. My parenting journey, has been me and my children, navigating life together as they’ve always been full-time in my care - some days I’m killin’ it, others I feel like an epic failure.

I am lucky enough to have a support network, and I’m in a loving and healthy relationship, and my children have beautiful relationships with him all their own - But no matter what support looks like, single parenting still carries a weight that only those living it truly understand.

Parenting is f***ing hard! Single parenting, regardless of the percentage of time that your children are in your care, it comes with its own host of challenges that are felt deeply -

Whether you have your children 100% of the time, share custody, have a strong village, or are doing most or all of it on your own, this day is for you too. Single parenting comes in many forms, and every version of it deserves recognition.

Today is a reminder to reach out to the single moms and dads in your life. Check on them, encourage them, and remind them they are doing an incredible job - even when it feels like they’re failing in every aspect.

Parenting is hard and whether the village is big or small, it matters.
