There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh homemade bread — and at The Residence at Littledale, you can enjoy it twice a week!

Every Tuesday and Friday, our talented kitchen team bakes delicious homemade loaves right here in-house. The warm, comforting aroma fills the entire building and brings a little extra coziness to everyone's day.

Even better? These freshly baked loaves are available for everyone — residents, staff, and the public are all welcome to stop by and purchase one.

White bread is just $5 a loaf, and wholewheat bread is $6 a loaf, so be sure to drop in and treat yourself to some fresh, homemade goodness!

We are proud to partner with Memorial University's Faculty of Nursing and the Centre for Nursing Studies through the NURS3500 Clinical Placement Program. For the past 5 years, this initiative has brought third year nursing students into our community each semester to learn, engage, and share knowledge with our residents and staff.

Here's how this clinical placement works:
🔹 Students research topics relevant to seniors' health and wellness.
🔹 They host interactive presentations for residents, complete with helpful resources and take-home materials.
🔹 They create resource manuals for our team, supporting ongoing education and care at The Residence at Littledale.

Our residents love these sessions! Last semester's "Move Better, Live Better" presentation focused on the importance of staying active for physical, cognitive, and emotional health - and even included a fun 15 minute group exercise that had everyone moving and smiling!

This program is so important to us here at Littledale because it reflects our mission to enrich the lives of our residents through quality care and support. It also complements the education programs we already have in place for residents and staff, helping us deliver the highest standard of care while creating meaningful interactions. We're thrilled to continue building these relationships year after year! 💙
