Today, September 13, is World First Aid Day.

This year’s theme, “First Aid and Climate Change,” highlights the increasing impact of extreme weather events—such as floods, wildfires, and heatwaves—and the vital role first aid plays in creating safer, more resilient communities.

At The Residence at Littledale, our team members are trained in first aid and CPR, giving residents peace of mind that they’ll receive an appropriate and timely response should the need ever arise.

Last week, Brittany, Lori, Karen and Valerie represented The Residence at Littledale at the Cancer Care Foundation's Golf Fore Hope event. This event supports the Patient and Support Fund which provides gas, groceries, accommodations, and other basic life necessities to patients in need. This year the event raised over $108,000!

We are proud to be a Silver Sponsor of this event and give back to our community. Plus, for the second year in a row, The Residence at Littledale team won the “Most Honest Team” award. 🏌️

Eating well is essential at every age, and at The Residence at Littledale, our menus are thoughtfully designed to support both the mental and physical well-being of our residents.

To ensure variety and to meet individual dietary needs and preferences, our menus are regularly updated. 🍴

Recently, residents and their families enjoyed a presentation from our team—Maurizio (Culinary Operations Manager), Karen (Food Service Supervisor), and Cynthia (Dietitian)—who shared insights into how our menus are created, how our kitchen operates, and the steps involved in our nutrition approval process.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, and highlight the care that goes into every meal we serve.
