Why my program is not “expensive”

Whenever anyone says something to me about the investment for my program being “expensive” I smile to myself because I have heard this objection before and I know what it actually means..

It means, “I’m scared this won’t work for me.”

The reason that I know what this means is because I also understand the cost of NOT addressing your digestive health.

The cost of
- continuing to gain weight
- worsening conditions related to nutrient deficiencies
- diabetes, heart disease or metabolic syndrome
- not being able to participate in family activities or keep up with your kids
- feeling out of control and weighed down with guilt and shame
- constant self-loathing

The cost of NOT addressing your gut symptoms is so much more than the cost of taking the time to develop strategies and implement life long processes that can change the trajectory of your life.

Of course I understand real life obligations and sometimes we need to find creative solutions so that a client feels confident about their choice to join… but when it comes right down to it…it is never actually about the money…it's about the fear that things won’t change.

Please reach out in the DMs if you want to talk this out with me…this is the stuff that I know!!

I am NOT budging on these…

🌞Tent camping - I will not give that up, even though now we have a camper.
🌞Must contain out-of-the-way craft shops and rural family-owned restaurants.
🌞A spa day complete with a summer-inspired pedicure.
🌞Campfires and s’mores.
🌞Many stops at my favorite local gelato place.

Tell me your 5 non-negotiables for your summer vacation.

Pharmaceuticals vs Supplements

I often get asked what I believe about using pharmaceutics vs supplements, so I thought I should take a minute and explain how I see things.

I used to pop TUMS and guzzle Pepto Bismol to get rid of my indigestion. Many of you are also relying on this approach, whether it’s OTC or prescription meds, to manage your gut symptoms.

Little did I know back then that these meds were just playing hide-and-seek with the symptoms. It's like putting a band-aid on a volcano—sure, the eruption is momentarily subdued, but the molten lava of the root cause continues to simmer beneath the surface. Nice metaphor there, huh? LOL

If we uncover the triggers, embrace holistic approaches, and address the root cause with a smidge of determination, we finally say goodbye to the temporary relief and hello to a journey of true healing, where heartburn becomes a distant memory.

The main differences between meds and supplements are:

1. Pharmaceuticals override the natural functions of the body to reduce your symptoms, whereas supplements work WITH your body to fill in nutrient gaps that may be contributing to your symptoms.

2. Pharmaceuticals work primarily by stopping the expression of the symptom, which is usually the body’s way of attempting to correct a disease process, whereas supplements help to reverse disease processes by filling in nutrient gaps or by supporting the body in its innate healing processes.

3. Pharmaceuticals can start to work very quickly, whereas many supplements need to be taken long-term to see results.

It is important to understand the differences between pharmaceutics vs supplements so that you know what kind of results to expect and which choice is right for you.

Remember ladies, the answers lie beyond the pill bottle, waiting to be discovered. Let's choose self-discovery and growth and give up the mere masking of symptoms. The knowledge of how to access true healing is my main message for this community!

Do you have any other questions about the differences between the two? Post them in the comments and I will answer them for you.

My favorite experience to share with friends is...

….having a meal together.

Sharing a meal with friends is an immensely valuable experience because it fills our hearts with love, joy, and a sense of belonging. As we gather around the table, deep connections and lasting memories are made.

For me, anticipation and excitement begin to bubble up as I plan a meal with friends, choosing the perfect dishes to savor together. The mere thought of their presence brings a smile, and I yearn to share not only the food but also our time, laughter, and stories.

The clinking of glasses, the sound of animated conversations, and the shared laughter create a soundtrack of friendship. In this atmosphere, our emotions find solace and reassurance, melting away any stress or worries.

Nurturing and comfort also emerge from the act of sharing a meal. As we eat, we nourish not only our bodies but also our souls. Each bite is accompanied by the loving energy of friendship, making the food taste even better. We feel cared for and appreciated, as our friends gather around us.

Additionally, vulnerability finds its place at the table. Honest conversations and heartfelt discussions flow effortlessly as we share our thoughts, dreams, and challenges. We open up to our friends, knowing that their acceptance and support create a safe haven where our emotions can be expressed without judgment. This connection fosters empathy, understanding, and a profound sense of being seen and heard.

Gratitude also takes center stage during a shared meal. We appreciate the bonds we have formed and the moments we get to cherish together. The simple act of breaking bread becomes a celebration of friendship and a reminder of the preciousness of human connections. Gratitude transforms the experience into something profound and enriching, deepening our emotional connection with our friends.

In the end, sharing a meal with friends evokes emotions that leave lasting imprints on our hearts. It fills us with happiness, comfort, and a profound sense of belonging. The memories of these meals will forever carry the weight of cherished moments, reminding us of the immense value of sharing our lives, stories, and emotions over a shared table.

I am going out with girlfriends this week for a dinner to celebrate one of their achievements. How lucky am I.

My soul needs this so much.

(As a side note: it is wonderful now to be able to eat out with friends without any anxiety about my gut symptoms becoming an issue, no matter what I eat. Grateful.)

What is something you really value doing with your friends?

I would love for you to share in the comments!

What I’ve Learned…(So That You Don’t Have To)

After working with many clients, I started to notice some patterns in the successes and failures of the high-achieving women with embarrassing gut symptoms that I work with, and what really keeps them stuck.

The one main thing that I have learned from my clients who struggled for years with digestive issues is that they have tried lots of different diets - thinking that somehow they were going to get a different result each time. They were only committed to short term results - not long term health.

It is for this very reason that I address this exact problem in my Ultimate Digestive Freedom Formula.

I understand that if I can get my clients focused on long term health outcomes (vs short term symptom reduction or quick weight loss) that their ability to get unstuck and permanently transform their gut health goes up exponentially.

If you can relate to this specific struggle, I can help you sidestep this exact issue and go from living as a prisoner of embarrassing gut symptoms to free of symptoms, feeling great and looking fabulous! Comment ME below if you'd like some more info.

Ugh I Know Other People LOVE This but…

Pleeeeease don’t ever make me drink eggnog. I know it’s generally the wrong time of year for it but this is the thing I really dislike….

I can’t stand the smell or taste of the stuff. Along with the fact that an ex from many moons ago drank way too much of a rum-infused eggnog one year, and threw it up all over the car we were both in…dear Lord please take that memory away from me! Anyhow, it’s definitely not in my Xmas repertoire!!!

Sooo grossssss….

Am I the only one?

What’s your “not going to happen” drink?

Talking To Your Loved Ones About Having Embarrassing Digestive Symptoms

If there is one thing I hear allll the time it is this:

“Noone understands what it is like to have to hide my bloated body under the clothes that I wear.”

Or this:

“I am in a constant state of anxiety over when the next horrific sound will escape..”

Or this:

“I can’t eat anything yet, I have to drive downtown, and I’m not sure if I will be able to get to a bathroom for a while.”

Or that:

“I’m tired of always making excuses for why I’m skipping the girls night out”

Or “...why I’m passing on giving the coveted presentation at work.”

Or “...why I won’t get intimate with my husband…again.”

Or “.....why I can’t sit through my son’s baseball game.”

I agree.

There can be a lot of misunderstanding or even judgment of those who are living with this issue…especially when there are days when everything seems almost “normal” and then there are other days where it feels like the wheels have completely fallen off.

It is important to talk with your loved ones about…

What you are experiencing - Your loved ones don’t live in your mind or your body. You can’t assume they know what it's like to be you or understand your level of discomfort.

What they can expect - Let them know what your symptoms are currently, but also how they might change temporarily or permanently. Talk about any changes that may need to be made to your schedule or responsibilities. Often fatigue is a symptom of poor gut health.

How they can support you - What do you need from them? Do you need a support group? Accountability? Financial support? Do you need to simply off-load some responsibilities or are you fine with your workload but may need additional emotional support or understanding?

Be as specific as possible but also understand that keeping the lines of communication open is the best way to keep everyone on the same page.

What is one thing you have communicated to your family or loved ones that has allowed you to feel more supported as you navigate the often embarrassing symptoms of poor gut health?

Please share in the comments because it may be very helpful to someone else!

🌷💐🎉 Happy Mother’s Day from this mama to all you mamas out there.

As you all know, being a mom is not just the hardest job in the world, it's the ultimate juggling act!

Let's break it down: you're a chef, whipping up meals and snacks that are healthy, delicious, and don't involve any tantrums from picky eaters.

You're a teacher, patiently explaining the mysteries of the universe to curious little minds, and helping with homework that makes you question your own intelligence.

You're a referee, breaking up fights over toys and mediating sibling rivalries that would make Cain and Abel look like best friends.

And let's not forget the endless laundry, cleaning, and chauffeuring duties that come with the territory.

And all of this while also managing to keep your sanity, remember to eat, and somehow find time for self-care (even if it's just a quick shower or hiding in the bathroom).

So yes, being a mom is definitely the hardest job in the world.

But you know what?

It's also the most rewarding, fulfilling, and downright amazing job you'll ever have.

So to all the moms out there, keep on juggling and slaying it like the bosses you are! I hope you have a fantastic day!
