ADHD + organization = a journey, not a destination.

Getting organized with ADHD isn’t about color-coded perfection—it’s about finding what works for your brain.

Try starting with:
✔ One small space at a time
✔ Clear, visible storage
✔ External reminders (timers, sticky notes, digital tools)
✔ Systems you can stick with on low-energy days

Keep this post handy if you struggle with getting organized while living with ADHD!

Have you ever struggled to put your feelings into words?
So have many of the people we support.

That’s why we created the Resource Emotion List, a downloadable resource that helps name and explore emotions with more clarity and care. It’s especially helpful when someone feels stuck, shut down, or simply overwhelmed by what they’re feeling.

💬 Understanding the mind-body connection is a powerful part of strengths-based support. This list can help your clients tune in, regulate, and become more aware of what’s really going on inside.

And it’s not just for clients, helpers can benefit too. After all, we’re all human and sometimes get stumped by our own emotions.

🧠 This tool is part of our Counselling Activities Workbook, filled with down-to-earth, trauma-informed resources for use in sessions and beyond.

Can you think of a time when you were stumped naming an emotion you were feeling? Or have you worked with someone who had difficulty connecting their feelings with words?

Understanding the mind-body connection is a key part of strengths-based applications. Our resource helps clients identify and manage their emotions, enabling them to become more self-aware and better equipped to process their feelings.

It's also a great tool for helpers to use themselves because, after all, we're all human and sometimes get stumped by our feelings! ;)

Have you created your loving-kindness phrases?
If not, here is a process that may help you find them.

Find a pen and paper, and sit down in the quiet. 🙏

Here are some examples:
“May I feel connected to others”
"May I be kind to myself."
"May I live in peace."
"May I be free."

We often check in with our loved ones and colleagues and ask questions like “How are you doing?”, “Everything ok?” or “Do you need anything?” But how often do you check in with yourself?

How has July been treating you so far?
