This month, we are proud to recognize Linda Moores, Child & Youth Care Worker at Blue Sky (GFW/Botwood), as our Brightisle Core Value Champion for Be Honest & Kind. 💙
Linda has been with Blue Sky since 2014, one of the first staff in the Botwood home, and nearly 12 years later, she continues to dedicate herself to creating hope and care for children and youth. She shares:
"My goal was to try to give a child a sense of some hope, a reason for their young lives, a hope that someone loved and cared for them. … It’s the little things in life that make a difference."
Her colleagues describe her as someone who always goes above and beyond for the youth and staff, advocating with dignity, respect, and compassion.
As part of this recognition, Linda has chosen to donate $100 to the Salvation Army in Carbonear, supporting their work in providing aid to those impacted by recent wildfires in Newfoundland.
