Physical containment is one of the most sensitive topics in behavioural health. While never the goal, there are rare moments of crisis when it may be necessary — not as punishment, but as an act of protection and care.

Join Sarah McCarthy, BCBA, and Matthew Noseworthy, Crisis Intervention Trainer, for a session that reframes containment through a trauma-informed, compassionate model, aligning with ABA values of safety, dignity, and televisability. Learn how staff and organizations can embed containment within relational crisis care to reduce harm, prevent burnout, and restore regulation — ultimately creating more moments of joy for those with complex needs.
