At Amal Behavioural Health Supports, we are grateful for our ongoing partnership with Shushepeshipan Ishpitentamun Mitshuap (SIM) in Sheshatshiu.

Over the past months, we have had the privilege of working alongside SIM to enhance capacity in supporting individuals who experience challenging behaviour. This collaboration has allowed us to learn deeply from Innu culture, values, and ways of knowing- strengthening our practice and enriching how we show up for individuals and families.

We are continuously inspired by the SIM team’s commitment, compassion, and knowledge. It has truly been a pleasure to learn together.

We look forward to all that is to come, walking forward in partnership, respect, and shared purpose.

Interagency Collaboration in Action!
While in St. John’s for training, our Out-of-Home Care Manager, Kaitlin Garnier from the West Coast dropped by our clinic to spend time with our team and connect with the learners we support!

We loved having the opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen the ties across our organization! Thank you Kaitlin for your time, energy and compassion! Amal Youth and Family Centre Inc.

Your teamwork, grit, and heart remind us every day what’s possible when we show up for one another.
Let’s go, Jays! 💙⚾️

We are so proud to share that our Senior Behaviour Analyst, Sarah McCarthy was recently highlighted as part of FTF Behaviour Consulting Success Stories!

Sarah holds her Level 6 Credential in PFA-SBT and continues to lead with compassion, persistence, and joy while supporting individuals who engage in severe and dangerous behaviour.

Her work is a reflection of our core belief that when we meet people where they are, honour their autonomy, and move forward at a pace that prioritizes happy, relaxed, and engaged, meaningful growth is possible.

Congratulations Sarah and thank you for all you do!
