We are so proud of our Amal Behavioural Health team for stepping up in support of Make-A-Wish Canada through the Ice Bubble Bath challenge ❄️💙

Every 20 minutes, a child is diagnosed with a critical illness. With three new diagnoses every hour, the need for support is constant, and the power of a wish is truly life-changing. Wishes are not just moments of joy; they are an essential part of a child’s treatment journey, bringing hope, strength, and resilience when it’s needed most.

Our team set out with a modest goal… and absolutely blew it away, raising nearly five times their goal 👏

This is what community looks like. This is what compassion in action looks like.

Thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered them on. Together, we are helping bring more wishes to life ✨

Sarah and Laura were thrilled to attend Essential for Living’s Event-Based Teaching workshop with Emily and Kristina in Portland, Oregon.

Stay tuned for how we’ll be integrating this inspiring approach into our service delivery to create meaningful, joy-filled experiences for all our learners!

At Amal Behavioural Health Supports, we are grateful for our ongoing partnership with Shushepeshipan Ishpitentamun Mitshuap (SIM) in Sheshatshiu.

Over the past months, we have had the privilege of working alongside SIM to enhance capacity in supporting individuals who experience challenging behaviour. This collaboration has allowed us to learn deeply from Innu culture, values, and ways of knowing- strengthening our practice and enriching how we show up for individuals and families.

We are continuously inspired by the SIM team’s commitment, compassion, and knowledge. It has truly been a pleasure to learn together.

We look forward to all that is to come, walking forward in partnership, respect, and shared purpose.

Interagency Collaboration in Action!
While in St. John’s for training, our Out-of-Home Care Manager, Kaitlin Garnier from the West Coast dropped by our clinic to spend time with our team and connect with the learners we support!

We loved having the opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen the ties across our organization! Thank you Kaitlin for your time, energy and compassion! Amal Youth and Family Centre Inc.
