The annual Collaborative Event, jointly hosted by CRNNL, CLPNNL, and NLCSW, will take place on February 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and the title for this year’s event is “Professional Leadership in an Ever-Changing Practice Environment.” A panel of subject-matter experts will explore what it means to lead effectively within today’s complex and collaborative health care settings. Some key topics that will be discussed include understanding regulatory/professional expectations related to leadership, supporting colleagues and students through effective preceptorship/mentorship within the health care team, demonstrating effective communication, understanding emotional intelligence and its impact within the practice setting, and managing change with confidence in order to contribute to healthy, high-functioning teams and how each of us can demonstrate leadership, no matter our role. Together, we’ll look at ways to strengthen collaboration, support one another, foster resilience, and navigate change while adhering to our professional values and regulatory expectations.
