It’s been a little while since we highlighted one of our male patients, but this recent transformation was simply too good not to share.

This is a great example of how, even when someone is in excellent physical shape, the body can still hold onto stubborn areas of fat or tissue that are difficult to address through diet and exercise alone.

This patient came to us with a very common concern known as Gynecomastia — a buildup of fatty or glandular tissue beneath the ni**le area. While subtle to some, this can be incredibly frustrating for the person experiencing it and can have a significant impact on confidence, especially during the summer months or in fitted clothing.

Through a small incision, we were able to remove the excess tissue and create a flatter, more contoured appearance to the chest. The patient is feeling great with this area finally addressed and is excited heading into summer feeling more comfortable and confident in a t-shirt.

Nurses are truly the backbone of our healthcare system. Their compassion, professionalism, and dedication are what keep everything moving, and without them, specialists like myself simply wouldn’t be able to do the work we do.

Over the years, my team has become like family to me. They are not only exceptional at what they do, but they are dependable, hardworking, and bring an unmatched level of care and professionalism to our practice every single day. Today, we celebrate the incredible love, strength, and care that mothers give each and every day. A mother’s role is truly 24/7, and they are so often the heart of our families and communities.

We want to recognize all of the amazing mothers on our team, as well as the incredible clients we have the privilege of caring for who balance motherhood alongside everything else life asks of them. Your dedication, resilience, and love do not go unnoticed.

This month also marks 18 years since I lost my own mother. She was my role model, my support system, and my confidant. She taught me the value of hard work, encouraged me to dream big, and helped inspire my journey to becoming a plastic surgeon.

Today, I’m thinking of all mothers, those with us, those we miss deeply, and those stepping into the role every single day with love and strength.

As a surgeon with over 20 years of experience, I’ve seen trends come and go, and technologies evolve and be replaced.
