We wrapped up our Curb the Winter Blues week at Cambridge Estates with two beautiful, feel-good days full of colour, connection, and community.

Thursday’s Purple Day brought a calm and cozy energy to the room. From rich purple outfits to sweet treats, it was a day filled with warmth, creativity, and quiet joy shared together. 💜

Friday’s Red Day finished the week on a bright and lively note! With bold colours, smiling faces, and lots of laughter, the energy was contagious and the room was full of life. ❤️

Throughout the week, we saw how something as simple as colour can bring people together, lift spirits, and create meaningful moments.

We’re bringing all the warmth and sweetness to Cambridge Estates this week with our Curb the Winter Blues theme, and Pink Day (Wednesday) was full of smiles! 💗

From soft pink outfits to delicious treats, the room felt extra cozy and cheerful. Pink is the colour of kindness, comfort, and connection, and today was a beautiful reminder of how those little moments can mean so much.

We were also treated to a special visit this afternoon from the Brookfield Ladies Choir, who filled the room with beautiful music and great tunes. Such a lovely addition to an already feel-good day. 🎶💗

This week at Cambridge Estates, we’re celebrating Curb the Winter Blues—a fun and uplifting theme week designed to bring colour, connection, and a little extra joy to these chilly days.

Each day features a different colour, along with themed snacks, music, and activities to brighten spirits and spark smiles.

Monday was all about yellow—the colour of sunshine, warmth, and happiness. From bright outfits to cheerful treats, our residents truly lit up the room.

A little bit of yellow can brighten more than a room… it can brighten a whole day. 🌞

On Wednesday, we took some time to slow things down and focus on care in the most meaningful way 🌸

Our residents enjoyed hand and arm massages with soothing aromatherapy, along with refreshing infused water, creating a calm, relaxing experience just for them.

These small moments remind us how important it is to give back to the people who have given so much… the ones who built our communities, raised families, and cared for others long before us.

It’s truly a privilege to care for them 🤍

🏅 Throughout the month of February, our residents took part in the Cambridge Olympics — a month filled with fun, laughter, and friendly competition. From Catch the Capelin and Clothesline Toss to Around the World Darts, Cup Bowling, and Bean Bag Curling, residents cheered one another on as they enjoyed games that brought everyone together!

Wishing everyone a wonderful St. Paddy’s Day filled with luck, laughter, and a little bit of Irish cheer. Here in Newfoundland, the day always brings a special feeling with our strong Irish roots, good music, and great company.
