Story Time! Not my typical post!
😅 I’ll be honest! Specializing in hormones can feel like an incredibly intense profession. I’m walking alongside women through some of their hardest hormonal struggles, and it’s heavy. We’re in a medical culture where the default answer to women’s concerns is often, “just take the pill.” Not only is that not a solution, it can create more layers of hormonal imbalance that many women end up seeking support for repair later.
🌸 Hormone-related concerns like PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid imbalance, and infertility make up a huge part of my practice. And with that comes the weight of women’s stories, stories of being dismissed, overlooked, or not given proper guidance.
😌 I want to share a story that, starts with one of my more challenging clients, but ends on the most positive note, and proof that the right support can genuinely change everything. I’ve been given full permission to share this, and the language used here has been discussed with my client, this is not my projection or harsh judgment, it’s just what happened.
👏🏻 So…Eight months ago, a woman reached out to me for support with fertility, something I deal with a lot. She and her husband had been trying to get pregnant for a few years. She’ll tell you herself, she was frustrated, exhausted, skeptical, and honestly not in the best place mentally.
🤓 She had seen multiple naturopaths, nutritionists, and practitioners before. She came to me because a former client recommended me and, in her words, she “had the insurance coverage, so whatever.” 😂 was a great start for us! 🫠
💪🏻 But if you know me, I’m aggressively supportive, and I’m here for accountability. And that’s exactly what she needed.
Part Two in the next post! 🥰
