Happy Nurses Week 💚

Nursing has taken me down a path I never could have fully imagined when I first started my career in Yellowknife as a Registered Nurse after leaving Newfoundland in 2008 —- from the Medicine Floor, to ICU and caring for the critically ill, to advanced infusion clinics and Nurse Management….

Today, nursing looks different for me again— now, as the owner of Muse Medical Aesthetics - at its core, the mission has never changed: caring for people.

Whether it was caring for patients in critical care during some of the hardest moments of their lives, on OBS helping care for the smallest of patients, or now helping clients feel more confident, comfortable, and like themselves again through medical aesthetics — patient safety, wellbeing, compassion, and trust have always come first.

I truly believe all forms of nursing move people forward— sometimes that means life-saving interventions in ICU- and sometimes it means helping someone heal emotionally, rebuild confidence, improve mental wellness, or simply feel better in their own skin.

To every nurse in every specialty — thank you for what you do. The work matters, even when no one sees it. 💚
