Hans Dijk

“Veteran” physiotherapist to our team at St Marys Stonetown Physiotherapy.
Hans has 33 years of experience in Canada and 3 years in the Netherlands where he graduated. After 3 years at the Stratford General Hospital he opened the city’s first private Stratford Physiotherapy Centre. He sold his practice in Stratford and Tavistock to PT Health in 2011 and kept working in both locations.
Tavistock is closing August 31

Hans is a certified MacKenzie MDT therapist, mechanical diagnosis and treatment.
His interest is sports and orthopedic injuries, pre and postop total joint replacement and neurological rehab.
Hans is excited to offer his expertise to the people of St.Marys and area as of September 5th 2023.

As a physiotherapy student at McMaster, I participated in the "Northern Studies Stream" - a semester of university and two clinical placements in Northwestern Ontario. We were exposed to the diversity of that region including indigenous communities. I take time today to reflect on that experience, and reframe my thoughts in the context of National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
