If you’ve ever had a Nurse Practitioner take the extra time to walk you through a next step, you know how meaningful their role is. This week, we’re recognizing the NPs who offer this kind of care across HPHA.

NPs have extended education and provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care: assessing, diagnosing, prescribing and educating when managing chronic illness and other challenges.

Today, on Remembrance Day, we honour the brave individuals who served our country, and reflect on the remarkable history that shaped our community.

St. Marys Memorial Hospital was opened on November 2, 1950, named to commemorate the sacrifices of many area residents who served during World War II. SMMH continues to honour their memory through care, compassion, and service in our community.

We remember those who fought for our freedom, and those who continue to serve today.

Lest we forget. ❤️

75 years ago! 🏥❤

in 1950, the St. Marys Memorial Hospital officially opened. With large municipal and public contributions, money was raised for the $380,000 building. Officials who gathered for the opening ceremony were impressed by the efforts of the community who rallied together for this important cause. The hospital has seen many modernizations over the past 75 years, working hard to better serve the people of St. Marys. St. Marys Healthcare Foundation
