So grateful that keeps having me back! We started this course during COVID and every year it blows my mind that people haven’t gotten tired of learning about it. 🩷

Thanks to all who were able to join us live and for those who will take time out of their days to catch the recorded playback.

If you missed the course, don’t be too sad. We still have 3 more scheduled for 2026. Check out the website for more details or to register for an upcoming course. Hope to see ya at the next one!

Have you taken the course???
Let me know what you loved learning about - drop it in the comments.

(Yes, this post is 5 days late. ⏰ In my defence, I don’t know this week was only going to have 2 days in it 🤷‍♀️)

Sometimes it’s not:
- more kegels
- more core
- more discipline with your exercises

Sometimes it’s:
• Letting yourself cry
• unclenching
• letting your pelvic floor take a break

Did you know your pelvic floor responds to:
😫 Stress.
😫 Suppression.
😫 Perfectionism.
😫 Constantly “holding it together.”

Sometimes you actually do need to cry and shake some ass...clinically speaking. 💁‍♀️

Save this for the days you feel clenched.
Share with the friend who needs to unclench.

It really helps get the message across clearer I think.

I don’t even feel bad for sitting here on a Sunday! What a great way to spend the day! Fantastic questions and engagement for the last CSection course of 2025. Nothing like teaching from the end of a plinth with all your trusty sidekicks (pictured on said plinth) Thanks to all who gave up a good there Sunday down-time to explore how we can up the game for cesarean rehab.

Practitioners, be sure to check out next years CSection rehab course through Pelvic Health Solutions.

We talk about all things csection, pre and post physiotherapy care, scar care, exercise progressions from 0-18+ weeks and more. Hope to see you there!
And stay tune for resource packages for practitioners that will hopefully make life easier in implementing CS care - available soon on the Physio Nook website!

Thanks to Brooke for attending the Mitchell Breast Cancer Fundraiser last night

Incredible to see the community’s generosity and the event organizers dedication in raising funds for the Stratford Rotary Hospice this year. 💝

And no, I did not win the “Reach For The Cure” shoulder mobility challenge.

🪨 Look at this cool rock I found on my morning walk! 😆😎

For you. 🤎🤍🖤💛Here ya go.

Incase you needed a little 🤎 reminder this weekend. This rock wants to let you know:

🪨you’re doing great -keep going
🪨 you have people who love you
🪨 you are heard
🪨 you are valued

And most importantly….

🪨Your Physio won’t hate you if you don’t get all your exercises in this weekend. I mean, You should probably still try…but if you need to enjoy other things…it’ll be fine…you’ll be fine. Do half? 2 or 3? Hot tub is an appropriate substitute for pelvic floor relaxation I would think…surely laughing has to be some kind of pelvic floor strengthening …do some laughing …I’ll go see if I can find an academic article to support this…brb.

Have an excellent long weekend, friends! 🤎🤎

Welcome!

It is my hope that this page will be a space for you to explore information about pelvic health physiotherapy and provide a starting point for seeking help. Sadly, many people struggle with symptoms of pelvic dysfunction for many years before they get the help they need. Often, they incorrectly believe that these issues are “normal” consequences of childbirth, aging or post-surgical function. I don’t want that to be you.

I am exceedingly passionate about all things pelvic health and about helping both men and women attain a better quality of life for issues that don’t often get talked about or addressed. With a strong background in sports injuries, I hold a special interest in treating persistent hip and low back pain as well as pelvic pain/dysfunction in athletes. I also love helping women get back to exercise - whatever level that may be - after giving birth. I love working out of Rebirth Wellness Centre with a multidisciplinary, holistic health team that is as passionate as I am about supporting women in their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.

My approach to care values the complex nature of pelvic health conditions, appreciating the role that social, psychological and emotional factors as well as experiences of trauma can have on the development and recovery of these conditions.

Did you know that pelvic health physiotherapy can address symptoms of urinary incontinence, f***l incontinence, urinary frequency or urgency, pain with in*******se, pelvic organ prolapse, abdominal dysfunction, chronic constipation, pelvic pain, low back and/or hip pain, testicular and/or pe**le pain, erectile dysfunction, and non-bacterial prostatitis (just to name a few!)? I hope you will feel comfortable to share this information with friends and family members who may also be struggling with symptoms of pelvic dysfunction. Let them know that something can be done.
