At 28 weeks, the baby is about the size of an eggplant and getting ready for their big debut! The brain is developing rapidly, and the eyelids are practicing opening and closing. Expect to see some kicks and stretches as the baby gets stronger, and those taste buds are starting to explore new flavors. It’s an exciting time!

At 40 weeks of pregnancy, your internal organs are basically playing a game of Tetris to make room for the baby! The uterus expands like a balloon at a kid’s birthday party, squishing the stomach, intestines, and bladder, which can lead to heartburn, constipation, and constant bathroom trips. The diaphragm gets pushed up, making you feel like you’ve just run a marathon, and the heart works overtime like it’s training for the Olympics. Hormones are all over the place, turning your body into a wacky, wonderful, baby-making machine!
