Happy Earth Day. 🌎

The state of our world and environment sometimes feels overwhelming. I'm here to remind you that you can make a difference.

Your choices and actions matter. Every little thing adds up.

Here are a few ideas:

β€’ Pause a moment to catch your breath, be present, stop hurrying, and see the beauty around you.

β€’ Bring a reusable water bottle to class.

β€’ Buy a decent quality mat that isn't going to be garbage in six months.

β€’ Purchase your activewear from a local company.

β€’ Book a class right after work or pair it with errands so you're doing less driving.

β€’ Car pool to class with a friend. πŸ₯°

And remember - taking care of yourself gives you the energy and brainpower to take care of other things. πŸ©΅πŸ’š

A gentle reminder as you move through this week.

How you show up at work and in life is a direct result of how you show up for yourself.

What does it look like to show up for yourself ?

Some examples are:

β€’ making healthy snacks to have on hand
β€’ spending time with people that make you feel good
β€’ moving your body a little (with love) every day
β€’ taking time to rest (and enjoy snuggles)

Friday night behind the scenes...

Studio owner life sometimes looks like cooking things up in the kitchen.

We're doing a photoshoot for our new website tomorrow (I'm excited! and stressed) and I wanted to make snacks for our volunteers.

Maybe I worry too much, but I do love cooking and baking and don't do that as much now that the girls have moved out.

What's something surprising about your job or a hobby that you enjoy? (besides yoga 😁)

My husband and I were out for supper in Winnipeg earlier this week and when I saw this at the restaurant I HAD to take a picture! 🀣
