At Points West Living Stettler, we have started spring cleaning our main areas to make them more welcoming and enjoyable for residents, families and visitors!

One recent change is moving our shuffleboard to allow a new sitting area by our elevator! This also offers a space to watch the wonderful slideshow of pictures on our TV by the elevator!! Have you had a chance to sit in this new area?

We encourage families to join us by helping spring cleaning their love ones rooms to make it a clutter-free, enjoyable space for them to spend there time!!

Happy Early Valentine’s Day!!

This week at PWLST the love has been shared. While our community is covered in red and pink and celebrating love, we want to take this time to acknowledge all of our friends and family and the love we have for each of them!

Throughout the week we have had many visitors pop in. A big shoutout to Hayden for dropping off homemade Valentines to some of our residents!! We are very grateful for your love and kindness!!

Men’s Night - Some PWLST Residents were treated to a special night out to enjoy some local hockey!!

A big shoutout to Stettler Imperials Senior Hockey Club for having us out at their last home game! Also thank you to The Wright Builders Ltd. for treating us to supper and front row tickets!!

We cannot wait for the action to get started!!

As the Winter Olympics kick off today, PWLST Residents and care partners also celebrate in Olympic fashion!! While some dressed up in Red to cheer in team Canada, others participated in our version of Olympic Games including Mountain Grooming, Ski Run Testing, Mogul Setting ans Alpine Ski Jump Setting!!

Stettler Family & Community Support Services challenged us to paint our community pink!! We decorated our reception desk where we aim at greeting all our residents, families and guests with kindness!!

THANK YOU to every community member and school member who participated in our Adopt-A-Senior initiative this holiday season. The residents are very grateful to live in such a kind community. They felt many feelings as they opened their gifts, including surprised, thankfulness, warmth, and love. Thank you for making a difference this holiday season and brightening up a resident's day!!

As 2025 faded behind us, we are welcomed with a new year - a time for new memories, new opportunities, new relationships, and new possibilities.

As we celebrate the outgoing year and cheer for incoming year, we also celebrate our Eden Philosphy that our community embraces. The Eden Philosophy is about making our place a home for all, cherishing companionship, thriving for new opportunities, and living with purpose at all ages.

PWLST gathered on Thursday for our annual Eden Celebration. This year we made it into a Mexican Feista, topped off with Nachos, Margaritas, Piñatas, and Pin the Tail on the Donkey! It was a great afternoon celebrating all the wonderful memories and bringing in the new year.

What an amazing story captured by our Recreation Coordinator Deidre! We love when Stettler and Area Family Resource Network bring in their Oaks and Acorns program to mingle with our residents! We cannot wait to see them in the new year!!

Meet Jack and Nolan.

They may not be blood relatives, but they’ve created a bond that is irreplaceable. Nolan visits Points West Living Stettler each month with the Oaks & Acorns Mom & Tot group. From the very first day he chose to sit beside Jack, and their friendship has grown ever since.

Every visit, Nolan looks for Jack. If Jack isn’t there yet, Nolan asks for him by name. When it’s time to leave, his question is always the same: “When can I come back?” For Jack, these days bring extra smiles and a spring in his step. They laugh, joke, craft, and share hugs before parting. This ongoing friendship reminds us that companionship isn’t just nice; it is essential.

At Connecting Care, we believe that strong communities are built on meaningful relationships. By fostering partnerships with child and teen organizations, we create opportunities for intergenerational connection that brighten lives, ease loneliness, and nurture belonging for everyone involved.

Brrrr… while others may be trying to get out of the cold, PWLST Residents are getting our cold on by enjoying a chilly ice cream parlor this afternoon!! Nothing tastes betger than Ice cream on a winter day!! Delicious!!!

PWLST held our annual Christmas Dinners last week. It was evenings full of laughter, love and magic. Thank you to all the families and residents who attended the meals! A big THANK YOU to the Stettler Minor Hockey Association Athletes who helped throughout the week serving our residents and families. Your kindness and support does not go unseen. Happy Holidays everyone!!
