Six years of The Wellness House 🤍🏡

Yesterday marked 6 years of holding space, building connection, and walking alongside so many of you through life’s highs, lows, and everything in between.

What started as a dream has grown into something so much more meaningful than I could have ever imagined. This space exists because of you — your trust, your vulnerability, your courage to show up, and your willingness to do the work.

To every client, family, and supporter who has been part of this journey… thank you. Thank you for allowing The Wellness House to be a place of healing, growth, and real, human connection. You all mean the world to me! 🥹

I am endlessly grateful for this community and so proud of the safe, compassionate space we continue to create together. I’m incredibly lucky to have lived my dream for 6 whole years already! 🙌🏻🤍

There’s fidgets, some candies, a cat and a couch - a great combo if you ask me! 🫶🏻
(I’d even make you a coffee or tea if you’d like! … coffee will be instant but trust me, it’s actually yummy!)

Here’s the thing:
You don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy.

You don’t need a breaking point.
You don’t need a perfectly worded reason.
You don’t need to justify why it feels “hard lately.”

Therapy can be a place you come to before things fall apart.
A space to get curious about your patterns, your relationships, your reactions.
A place to grow, reflect, and feel more like yourself again.

Maybe you just want:
• to understand yourself better
• to communicate more clearly (communication enhancement is my jam!)
• to feel less overwhelmed in everyday life
• to have someone neutral to talk things through with

That’s more than enough.

Therapy isn’t only for surviving — it’s for thriving, too.
And you’re allowed to want support, even when things look “fine” on the outside.

You’re always welcome here 🤍🏡🐈‍⬛

Reminder:
You got this

Some sessions are quiet.
Some are heavy.
Some hold the kind of grief that feels too big for words.

And sometimes… I might cry with you.

Not because I’m taking your pain on as my own—but because I’m human, too. Because sitting with your story, your love, your loss… it matters. You matter.

In those moments, my role doesn’t change. I’m still grounded, present, and holding space for you. But I won’t pretend to be untouched by the depth of what you’re carrying.

Grief deserves to be witnessed. Not rushed. Not fixed. Not minimized.

So if tears show up in the room—yours or mine—they’re welcome here.

🏡 Here at The Wellness House:

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can slow down, reflect, and make sense of what you’re going through — without judgment.

I work with individuals navigating stress/grief, life transitions, relationships, and the challenges that come with trying to hold everything together.

My approach is warm, client-centred, and collaborative. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about understanding yourself and creating meaningful change.

I’ve just opened up more appointment times :) Now is a great time to reach out and see if The Wellness House is the fit for you 💪🏻

Rosco is an added bonus! 🐈‍⬛❤️

It only took almost 6 years!!

I finally have signs!
Welcome - come on in, the coast is clear!
In Session - there’s still someone here, please wait :)
(Wait on the chairs outside the house or wait in your vehicle)

I try my hardest to book sessions so there’s barely ever client overlap when arriving - but sometimes life happens. These signs will help :)

This is mostly for the winter when the open White Door can’t indicate the “come on in, Cally’s ready” … because usually it’s freezing here so the door has to remain closed. (If you know the door, you know!)

Signs are hung on the window beside the White Door 🙌🏻

Now I just have to remember to use them 💪🧠

Thanks to my amazing clients for always being understanding, respectful, and gracious - ya’ll are the real mvp’s! I bet you’re proud that I finally got signs!

And remember,
Even if today is hard … take things one moment at a time. Slow down, be present, take a deep breath. You got this.

💙❄️🤍🛋️

2026 check-in!

How are we doing?

It’s 2026 - a couple weeks in
The holiday hype is over
The freedom/fun we love after the holidays has worn off
Basically we’re back to “real life” - but it’s STILL WINTER
(Even though we’re experiencing what feels like a false spring ☀️)

This time of year can be especially hard. It can turn in to the January Blues - where you just feel down and blah. 🙁

Don’t forget:
🩵 Keep doing the things you love (it’s okay if you have to schedule it in!)
🩵 Get outside - and look at the sun (if it’s not cloudy)
If you can’t go outside, use your imagination. Truly, visualization is more powerful than you think!
🩵 Remind yourself you don’t have to do it alone - lean on your supports, spend time with friends/family, seek therapy if you feel it would be beneficial.

Deep breath in, slow exhale out.
Take care of yourself

P.S
With my limited part-time schedule my calendar fills up pretty fast but because I can be flexible with time/booking, that doesn’t always mean a huge wait time before an initial appt. Reach out with any questions!

P.P.S
You got this

Therapy isn’t just for moments of crisis — it’s for growth, healing, and clarity ☀️

Here’s what I want people to know about therapy at TWH

Therapy here offers:
🏡 A safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings
🧠 Tools to manage stress, anxiety, and other overwhelming emotions
💪 Healthier boundaries and stronger relationships
🌱 A deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns
❤️ Healing from past experiences so you can move forward with intention
💬 The ability to learn communication enhancement strategies to break cycles and resolve conflicts

Honestly, if you asked me to pick a favourite part of therapy … I’d have a hard time! I’m here for it all - and each person’s journey is unique (as it should be) and I’m also here for that!

See you at TWH 🏡

P.S

Action is the antidote to anxiety 💥

This has been my latest and most used personal mantra - so obvs I wanted to share!

When worry takes over, I remind myself: doing something—no matter how small—creates movement, clarity, and calm 🌿
Taking action breaks the cycle of overthinking and builds momentum toward peace and progress 💪🏻

What’s one small action you can take today to ease your mind? 💛
I’ve been calling them my “action steps” 🙌🏻

Also, yes. There is tape on the couch … Rosco thought it was his scratching post for a while 🤦🏻‍♀️🙊🤣

What is EMDR Therapy?

✨ A powerful approach to healing from trauma ✨

👁️ EMDR = Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
• A therapy that helps the brain process traumatic memories
• Uses guided eye movements (or taps/sounds) while recalling distressing events

💡 How it Works
• Trauma can get “stuck” in the brain/nervous system
• EMDR helps reprocess those memories,
the emotional intensity lessens & makes space for healing

🌱 Benefits of EMDR
• Reduces symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression
• Improves emotional regulation
• Builds resilience + calm in daily life

✨ What a Session Looks Like
• Talking briefly about your memory or feelings
• Following eye movements, sounds, or tapping
• Your brain reprocesses the memory while your therapist guides you

💬 EMDR helps you move from “stuck in the past” ➝ to living in the present.

I truly love EMDR and have seen the growth and processing with clients! .. and I’ve done EMDR myself and found it so helpful!

It’s October! 🧡🍂🎃

How’re we doing?!

September seemed to fly by with its beautiful weather and return to routine and structure.
I genuinely love the “re-set” that fall brings.

It also seems that fall can bring overwhelm, overstimulation, and/or stress as we adapt back in to the swing of things. Just here to remind you that you don’t have to manage everything all on your own.

If you’re irritable, anxious, or even “numb” (where my rug sweepers at?!), reach out and we can see if TWH is the right fit for you.

And now for fun:
Imagine holding this dandelion fluff in your hand.
Bring to mind something that’s been feeling heavy that you’d like to let go of.
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale slowly and imagine the heaviness floating away with the dandelion fluffs
🤍
Maybe you feel just a bit lighter now.

Take care and chat soon!
