.firasalniaimi My Masterclass talk on Lasers at Master Physicians Masterclass in Copenhagen 🇩🇰

I’m breaking down the fundamentals of laser technology: what it is, how it works, and what it can actually do for the skin.

Lasers are one of the most powerful tools we have in aesthetic medicine, but understanding the basics is key to using them effectively and safely.

Get • Here’s the simplest way to understand these two different types of resurfacing ⚡️

Fully Ablative = “mowing the lawn” ✨

We remove the entire surface evenly. There’s no skin left untouched in that area.
This is what I’m doing with Contour TRL or MicroLaserPeel (Erbium 2940).

What that means for you:
• Maximum correction in one treatment
• Best for deeper wrinkles, advanced sun damage, and significant texture
• Skin is completely resurfaced → smoother, tighter, more dramatic change
• More downtime, more intensity, more aftercare

This is the “reset your skin” option.

Fractionated Ablative = “aerating the lawn” ✨
Instead of removing everything, we create thousands of microscopic channels while leaving healthy skin in between.
This is what I’m doing with ProFractional, Halo, and Halo TriBrid (Erbium 2940 component).

What that means for you:
• Stimulates collagen while preserving surrounding tissue
• Faster healing because intact skin helps repair the treated areas
• Better for acne scars, early texture, volume restoration, maintenance, and building results over time
• Less downtime, but typically requires a series or ongoing treatments

This is the “build and refine over time” option.

So which is better? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Neither. It depends on your skin, your goals, and how aggressive you’re willing to go.

If you want:
• One big, dramatic transformation → fully ablative
• Gradual improvement with less downtime → fractional

And in many cases… the best results come from strategically combining both 💥

This is exactly why “laser” isn’t one-size-fits-all.
The technology matters, but the strategy behind it matters more.

If you’ve ever felt like a treatment didn’t do enough for you… there’s a good chance it wasn’t the right approach for your skin 🚫

The more you know!

Morpheus8 is one of the biggest regrets of my beauty journey.

I bought all the way in.

The celebrities, the medspas, the influencer before-and-afters.

The promise was skin tightening, collagen stimulation, volume replacement.

And what I got was... volume loss.

Yep, the opposite of what I wanted.

I don’t think enough people are sharing this so I wanted to.

Comment EPISODE and I’ll send you the full video with all the work I’ve had done. 🔗

Get • @101.skin HIFU. The most misunderstood device in aesthetics. Here is what the literature actually shows
👉Facial dermis is only ~1.5 mm thick. Anything deeper is no longer skin — it is the subcutaneous compartment that holds the fat pads of the face. This single number changes how HIFU should be interpreted.
👉HIFU cartridges come in various depths. 1.5 mm sits inside the dermis, where collagen lives. Anything deeper and you’re in subcutaneous fat & beyond. Each pulse focuses ultrasound into a thermal coagulation point at 60-70°C. The surface stays cool. The energy converges only at the chosen depth. Same machine, same patient, different depth — different tissue, different result. Can the fibroseptal network in layer 2 significantly contact & remodel without collateral? Doubt it. In some patients this is a wanted ‘side-effect’- think high volume lower face, in others, it can be disastrous & permanent
HIFU is not a device problem. It is an operator problem.Selection counts.
👉This is why “I had HIFU” tells you almost nothing about what was actually done. If you are considering HIFU for facial laxity — ask about depth, energy, and who is holding the wand
I’m a HUGE fan of HIFU, if the treatment is executed correctly💯
