🦷 Brushing Harder ≠ Brushing Better
If your toothbrush looks worn out after a month, your teeth—and gums—might be paying the price.
Many people think brushing harder means cleaner teeth, but the opposite is often true. Scrubbing too aggressively can wear down enamel, irritate or recede gums, and even cause sensitivity over time.

✨ The goal is gentle and effective:
✔ Use light pressure
✔ Angle the bristles toward the gumline
✔ Let the bristles do the work—not force

A soft-bristled toothbrush and a calm, consistent technique will clean your teeth far better than heavy pressure ever could.

About G Mobile Unit

G Mobile Unit is an Edmonton area-based dental hygiene provider headed by Registered Dental Hygienist, Gwen Andrews.

Gwen is about bringing the mobile dental services business model to Edmonton and beyond. By offering dental hygiene services in various community settings, Gwen is able to reach a wide range of people who might not otherwise be able to access them. We can pre-authorize treatment with your insurance so you know the cost ahead of time. You only pay what insurance doesn’t cover. We offer direct billing of hygiene treatments to all insurance providers!

Gwen’s dreams of making a difference were born of a change to Alberta’s regulations surrounding dental services. Several years ago the provincial regulatory body had set forth changes to the Health Professions Act, allowing dental hygienists to operate independently, beyond the scope of a dentist’s supervision.

And so, the idea of G Mobile Unit came to life.
