Today, the children of Parkview staff spent the day taking part in crafts, pancakes, interactive games, Santa visits, and helping deliver holiday gifts to our residents. Their presence added a special energy to the Home and was enjoyed by residents, families, and staff alike.

We were also grateful for the Village Voices Choir, who carolled through each resident home area before concluding with a final performance in a full Founder’s Hall. Their voices brought warmth and connection throughout the Home, and we sincerely thank them for sharing their time and talent.

From Parkview to our community, we wish you a Merry Christmas and peaceful, happy holidays.

The generosity of the Stouffville community shone brightly today!

It was truly the most wonderful time of the year! Residents at the Village celebrated in style with a delightful spread of desserts, berry punch, and hot apple cider. Entertainer Andy De Campos had everyone singing along as he belted out Christmas favourites and a few Frank Sinatra classics in honour of his birthday. A fantastic time was had by all and it was the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Parkview took part in this weekend’s Santa Claus Parade and enjoyed being there with our community. Our team walked alongside our float celebrating Parkview’s 60th anniversary, generously donated for the second year in a row by the Bisschop family and decorated with care by many members of our team.

We are especially grateful to Angela for her thoughtful attention to every detail of the float, to Dennis for building the creative structure and installing more than 2,000 lights, and to Dave for his steady driving, technical support, and for once again sharing his equipment with us. A special thank you as well to Viktoria, whose talent behind the camera captured the moments and memories we now get to share. We are truly appreciative of each contribution that brought this float and experience to life.

We set out with 5,000 candy canes and quickly realized we could have easily handed out twice as many. The turnout and the feeling of togetherness were remarkable, and it was a privilege to be part of the day.

As Parkview’s 60th year comes to a close, we’re reminded of how meaningful it is to be embraced by this community. We look forward to the years ahead and to many more walks in the Santa Claus Parade.

Parkview Village celebrated the grand opening of our much-anticipated Workshop yesterday! Instead of a ribbon cutting, we kicked things off with a “board-cutting” ceremony — and it was a hit!

We can’t wait to see what amazing, creative projects everyone builds next. Stay tuned!
