If you’ve been told to ‘just rest it’… but it’s been months…shockwave therapy may be an evidence-based treatment option for you.

Some injuries heal quickly.
Others linger.

Shockwave Therapy is designed to support healing in stubborn tendon and soft tissue conditions like:- Plantar fasciitis- Tennis elbow- Shoulder tendon pain- Achilles irritation

The first step is an assessment to determine whether it’s the right fit for you.

Should I have routine imaging of my spine? 🩻

If your leg pain is worse than your back pain you may have a lumbar radiculopathy. This is caused when pressure or irritation on a lumbar nerve (a “pinched nerve”) causes a specific distribution of leg dominant symptoms.

As you can see, there are some specific guidelines and Ontario-based decision tools to guide care of these conditions and routine imaging is not recommended in all cases. If conservative care of pain management and exercise advice is not effective during a 6-week period CT or MRI imaging may be requested by a physician.

As a chiropractor, I can assess, diagnose, provide pain management treatment, recommend exercises, and monitor for progressive symptoms that may lead to further imaging as clinical guidelines recommend for treatment.

“Do I have to come forever?”

A misconception that all patients of chiropractors needs to come back on a regular, pre-determined basis is not the case.

No…there is no contract to helping you feel your best or get back to what you love to do.

Your treatment plan is a suggestion and can always be modified based on your “flare-up”, new sports injury, or ongoing supportive care on a timeframe that best supports you.

For some this might be a monthly visit or I might see you in many months from now. It all depends on why you need advice and treatment and it is always your choice.

Low back pain preventive exercises 💪

Most low back pain doesn’t start with one bad move, it builds over time.

These are a few of my go-to exercises to help keep your back strong and pain-free.

Save them for later - your future back will thank you.

Can your joints sense the weather? 🌡️🌧️🌨️💨

Something I both hear and see with my patients is the damp or cold weather may aggravate existing conditions such as osteoarthritis. The joint fluid can expand slightly with reduced barometric pressure and can irritate an already vulnerable area. Research has shown some link to this longstanding phenomenon.

If you’re having issues with these weather fluctuations, I’d be happy to help assess and provide some recommendations for at-home care and improve joint mobility and strength with in-office treatment as needed.

🦶🏻Orthotics Year-End

If you’ve considered if orthotics are right for you and your benefits coverage expires at the year end, the deadline for assessment and casting of orthotics is December 16, 2025. This ensures orders are invoiced and processed prior to the year-end cutoff.

A gait analysis and biomechanical lower limb assessment is completed to understand how your feet and body move. This will help determine the potential cause of your symptoms or how orthotics could help overall function.

Make sure to check with your insurance coverage, if applicable, whether a prescription is required from your family doctor.
