This past Sunday, some of our team laced up and joined Stratford’s Terry Fox Run 🏃‍♀️💙

It was such a meaningful way to come together, honour Terry’s legacy, and support cancer research alongside our community.

Our thoughts can be our biggest cheerleaders or our harshest critics. The good news?

You can train your mind to speak to you with more kindness.

The next time you notice a negative thought, pause. Ask yourself: “What would I say to a friend in this situation?” Then, say it to yourself.

We all go through seasons where life feels heavy, repetitive, or just plain stuck. It can be easy to believe that this moment defines us…but it doesn’t. 💛

Remember: ruts are temporary. Growth is happening quietly, even when you can’t see it yet. Trust that you won’t always feel the way you do right now.

🍎 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🍎

Back-to-school season can stir up a lot of feelings for kids — excitement, nervousness, sadness, or even overwhelm. 🎒🍎

Some children adjust quickly, while others may need extra time and support. As a parent, here are a few things to watch for in the weeks ahead:
* Trouble sleeping or changes in appetite
* Frequent stomachaches or headaches (often linked to anxiety)
* Mood swings, irritability, or withdrawal
* Difficulty concentrating or refusing to go to school

💛 These signs don’t always mean something is “wrong,” but they can be cues that your child is struggling with the transition.

How you can help:
* Validate their feelings (“It’s okay to feel nervous, lots of kids do”)
* Create predictable routines for comfort
* Encourage open conversations about what’s on their mind
* Celebrate small wins — every good day is progress

Back-to-school is a big transition for the whole family. Be gentle with your kids — and yourself — as you all find your new rhythm. 🌿

We’ve all heard of “seasonal depression” and usually associate it with the dark, cold winter days. ❄️ But what about the seasonal depression that comes with the end of summer?

As the days get shorter, routines shift, and that carefree summer feeling fades, it’s normal to feel a dip in mood. 🌻

The end-of-summer blues are real — and your feelings are valid. Be gentle with yourself, carry forward little rituals you loved from summer, and give yourself permission to ease into this new season at your own pace.

🍂 Do you feel your mood shift when summer ends?

You’re not lazy. You’re not forgetful on purpose. You’re not bad at adulting.

ADHD often hides behind labels like “irresponsible” or “distracted,” especially in adults. Let’s break that stigma.

ADHD shows up in many ways and often goes unrecognized—especially in women and neurodivergent folks.

If you’re struggling with ADHD, our clinicians would love to help. Contact us todaiiy for a free consultation!

Some are googling “how to boil an egg.” 🍳
Some are doing both in the same week. 🤷

If you feel like everyone else has it together, spoiler alert: they don’t!

We’re all just out here winging it with a bit of coffee, a few tabs open, and a mild identity crisis.

You’re doing just fine 💛

A trigger is anything- an image, sound, smell, word, or situation, that sparks an intense emotional or physical reaction. Triggers are often linked to past trauma or unresolved stress, and they can cause someone to feel overwhelmed, anxious, shut down, or reactive in ways that might seem out of proportion to the situation.

🧠 Triggers are signals from our nervous system trying to protect us.

✨ Becoming aware of your triggers is a powerful first step in healing and creating more choice over your reactions.

If you’re struggling with emotional triggers, therapy can help you explore where they come from and how to respond with greater self-compassion and control.

The stories your mind tells you about who you are, what you’re capable of, and what you deserve aren’t set in stone.

Mental health isn’t just about surviving the hard days. It’s also about learning to notice the unhelpful patterns, question them with compassion, and shift how you speak to yourself.

Therapy can help with that.

With time, support, and practice, you can learn to talk to yourself with kindness and that shift in self-talk can open the door to new opportunities, healthier relationships, and a life that feels more like yours.
You are allowed to grow. You are allowed to change.

And it can all begin with a single thought.

You’re not meant to take on the weight of the world alone. We all need help sometimes.

There is courage in vulnerability. Bravery in reaching out. Power in saying, “I can’t do this alone.” 🏔️
