I am thrilled to announce I will be spending Thursdays a little closer to home starting May 19th! Online booking available.

Introducing Jennifer Newcombe! An RMT and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in training that is excited to join the FORM Osteopathy team this spring. She will be scheduling massage therapy appointments every Thursday in Stratford starting on May 19th!
Jennifer graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2018 and is currently in her 3rd year of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. As an RMT she has always had a specific interest in how all the systems of the body interact and utilizes a variety of techniques, including fascial stretch therapy (FST), deep tissue massage, proprioceptive techniques and many more. With her experience as a CrossFit coach she has been able to incorporate functional movements in-clinic and in home care recommendations for her patients. Jennifer enjoys working with patients to help them to perform to the best of their ability, wherever their daily lives may take them. In her free time you’ll find her spending time with her pup, family or friends, playing hockey or studying!

Let’s change our perspective. I know I’ve been guilty of wishing 2020 would be over because it seems like a waste of a year but this definitely made me rethink that mindset.

March 17th the province called a state of emergency and RMTs were told to stop all non essential treatments.

June 1st the province has began to remove some restrictions and RMTs are allowed to practice!!! (Of course with many restrictions still)

Although it has been nice to wind down and finish projects around the house I am so excited to be heading back. I have missed all of patients so much! My hours will be altered during this time and the team at the NHWC is taking every possible measure to keep employees and patients safe.

In my next post there will be a list of safety measures my clinic is implementing to keep everyone safe.

If you would like to book an appointment with me please call the clinic at 519-662-4441. I look forward to seeing all of you soon!

As all of you may notice from the date of my last post I'm not great at updating my work page/ instagram but this is definitely important to me.
Myself and thousands of chiropractors, osteopaths, RMTs, physiotherapists, ect. have decided to close our clinics at this time in hopes of flattening the curve. We will be waiting for updates from the government and our governing bodies for how to proceed. If any patients need advice on home care I will do my best to provide you with that.
I hope to see all of you soon but lets all continue to do our part to try and decrease the spread of this thing.
Stay safe and healthy.

NEW HAMBURG WELLNESS CENTRE (NHWC)
IMPORTANT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE – MARCH 16, 2020

In accordance with recommendations from various public health authorities, the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO), and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), we are temporarily suspending health care services from the end of business day March 17 until March 30, 2020. We will be closely monitoring developments as they arise and will be regularly updating our social media pages to reflect any changes in dates. For people who have appointments prior to March 30, 2020, our staff will be contacting you to reschedule.

As the news concerning COVID-19 continues to evolve, the safety and well-being of our customers, employees, their families, and the community continues to be our top priority. In an effort to minimize potential variables that may contribute to infection risk, we are taking these necessary steps. It is our belief that this is the responsible thing to do.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail at: nhwc@bellnet.ca.

Sincerely,
The NHWC Team

Today I am grateful that I am able to continue my learning.
I am grateful that our health care system allows patients to seek treatment outside of medications and surgeries.
I am grateful that I have a career where I get to help people every day.

I feel very humbled after my first weekend of schooling in osteopathy because in my profession there is ALWAYS more to learn. I know I will never have every answer for my patients but I will use the tools I have and do my best.
With these next steps in my profession I believe I’ll be able to help patients who have always received that ‘bandaid fix’ and hopefully provide them with a more permanent solution.
Needless to say I’m excited for these next ... years (we don’t need to put a number to how long it will take me to finish).

On days of struggle, when school gets tough, and life gets crazy, I hope I’ll look back at this post and feel all the feels.
That’s all for today- thanks for listening to me rant ☺️

Do you just want to feel relaxed and restored?💆🏻‍♀️

Thanks to my buddy for letting me interrupt our stretching session with a little photo shoot. 📸
